Lol Black Ops was a huge hit and is the 2nd best selling game of all time on the Xbox and Ps3...  (after MW3 of course)

Blacks Ops sold 28 million copies according to VG chartz compared to around 29+ million for Mw3...

Point being, just because BO2 opened 20% less doess not mean it will sell 20% less overall..

yea right you call a record breaking launch slowing down. when It sells like any other game on the market then you can say slowing down

Lets see where lifetime sales land, I think with Black Ops, they will be quite impressive.

Nobody said the franchise isnt big i just stated that is in decline at least this year sales on the UK were behind even Mw2.

I'd wait for MW4 to really see if the series is in decline, though anecdotal evidence really holds no water but after MW3 I've seen people; mostly the adult crowd feeling the gamer fatigue of this series..MW4 will be I think the breaker of the series, they can't go too much into the future as Black ops II has covered that and they can't stay modern because it will be to similar to it predecessors.

CoD sales are pretty damn front loaded though.  They have some legs but their legs are very short when compared to Nintendo games.

You have to compare shooters to shooters and COD is way more leggier due to the Holidays...

I figured it'd die down with this one. I myself had got them all Day 1 since World at War but didn't bother with BO2.
