what exactly is Miiverse?

It's not bad, but I don't think it seriously is going to compete for people's time the way Twitter and Facebook do.

For people who are really enthusiastic Nintendo fans, perhaps.

I think Nintendo TVii actually might be the big thing about the system to people who aren't necessarily Nintendo fanatics.

Honestly the most fun I've had with the system (and that's not a knock on the games per se, Mario U, Nintendo Land, and BLOPS2 are quite fun) is being able to beam Youtube videos to the TV, especially with the "curtain" feature.

We can be watching TV, and even during the commercials, I can quickly flip to my Wii U using the tablet pad as a TV remote and then pop up a funny Youtube clip for friends to share. That's actually gotten the biggest response out of anything from the system.

Love those drawings...
Can't wait to get a Wii U (sigh have to wait until Dec) and join in on the art community ;)

seems like a good way for the hub of the WiiU,i always liked the miis on the Wii and it sounds like they have taken it to the next level, for me the immediate/social hub or interaction/connection points of consoles is going to be a pretty important aspect for nintendo/sony/microsoft and they need to get it right,it should probably evolve to being like you are in an mmo when you are on your console from the HUB and many games

I made a thread a long time ago about what I wanted the 3DS to evolve into. Part of that was having it feel like a living, breathing world with Mii characters walking around doing whatever. The MiiVerse is that dream made a reality with real people's Miis instead of random, prescripted Miis AND they've thrown in a message board/Twitter app. It's happy beyond words. I love it!
