Yo. Zen here. New to this site, so forgive my bare bones format I got going here just this once.

I was recently(probably, word still out) permabanned from Gamespot System Wars. Just short of Porn Suiciding, I made this comment in relation to Famitsu 40/40 Brawl post(which is true):

Look jabronies, Famitsu is far more respected than is this website, IGN, or anything in English, short of Gamerankings, and I'll tell you another thing, when Japanese gamers look for which game to purchase, they sure as hell ain't looking through translated magazines like we are right now, so get over yourselves, all of you who scoff at that magazine, and put more creedance in Gamespot than you do Famitsu, what are you smoking?

7 day ban, then I, of course, bandodged, because this Cow, whom I usually keep in check, was running rampant. I stopped him, but at the cost of my account. 

Anyway, I've always been a big fan of VGchartz, and I really respect what this site is doing. I think most of the posters at Gamespot are ungrateful Cows and Lemmings, who hate what this site is trying to do, not because they think it's bad, but because the numbers don't favor them as much as Nintendo.

Either way, I believe the following things to be opinion, yet beyond fanboy reproach:

A. The DS has a better library than the PSP.

B. Wii will win this generation sales race, barring anything besides a worldwide Nintendo screw up.

C. The opinion that the Wii is a next gen system, and is just as viable as a main console, as any other system, is a valid opinion and not a joke. 

I'm a sheep. I have stuck up for VGChartz many time. I do indeed own a DS, Wii, and an Xbox 360. Gamespot is not sheep friendly, and the Wii bashing is usually the main topic of conversation, because of its popularity, and the fact that most of the tweens over there do in fact hate not just the Wii, but Nintendo, and have since the Gamecube. They can't stand that Nintendo is beating their fancy systems this badly.

Claimes as to why VGChartz is "a bad place" that I've heard:

A. Site contains spyware, this is why Neogaf has banned links from here.

B. The site is Nintendo fanboy ran.

C. Nexgenwars is more accurate, and that's bad.

D. Hardware numbers are completely inaccurate, nonadjusted, and leant towards a specific console.

Of course, I have, at many time, flamed each and every one of these reasonings for being, in a word, retarded, and presented factual proof against them. 

My favorite game is RE4, my favorite franchise is Zelda, I will be buying NMH on the first day, I do own Killer 7, I am a Final Fantasy and MGS fanboy, but don't own a PS3, yet, nor shall I for the forseeable future. 27, Insurance Analyist, M, Sheep.

Hope to see you soon, as I attempt to burn all my Gamespot bridges forever, and spit on every single mod and poster(sans Nintendo dream union, Marth, and a few others).

One last thing, my name here is ZenfoldorVIG(VideoGameIndustry), apparently I have made quite a few enemies across the net(this name is a personally made up name from DaoC and WoW, you can check my armory), and my name was already taken on this site, so I had to add the generic letters at the end(I'm Zenfoldor, not Zenfoldorsux) which vexes me. 

Hmmm... so you were banned from Gamespot in the system wars section... So what system do you prefer to rip on and which one do you praise like it's the second coming?

Welcome, Zen! You say you got perma-banned? I got my eye on you buddy. When you least expect it, you're gonna turn around and......BAM!! I'll be there. Anyways, have fun. Make yourself at home. The members here are pretty cool.

I do think your post about Famitsu was pretty good, but here in the west, people see Famitsu as a reviewer who gives 40/40 to games (since some sites make news about Famitsus perfect scores) and as a source which provides sales data.

I agree with your opinions, except for C, which isn't opinion, it's a fact.

And about claims you have heard:
A. Don't know about spyware, haven't run into that yet, but i think it's not the reason why Neogaf has banned links here.
B. Even if it would, that doesn't change anything.
C. LOL
D. None of which is true.

I look at a Famitsu review like 4 IGN reviews.

I don't necessarily think all of the 40/40 games are perfect, but I think that several things have to line up.

The game has to be great and lucky. 

If you reverse it, it pretty much means Brawl is gonna be great.

Now, that said, even if it doesn't necessarily mean the game is gonna be certainly great or AAA, it certainly in no way disproves the theory that the game is going to be great, or perhaps one of the greatest games this generation.

So, it seem that most Wii haters have tried to marginalize this score.

However, if you look at the other 40/40 games from Famitsu, and translate them to what scores they produced here in the states, you'll see only Nintendogs by a hair, failed to score a gamerankings AAA, and even Nintendogs scores AAA on gamespot, in one form or another. 

Since Melee scored about an 89 average review, and I believe 8.8, or 8.9 on Gamespot, we can almost assume this game is better than Melee, even after you deduct the silly "rehash" quotent that Gamespot will undoubtedly deduct from the game.

I deduce that from a 40/40 Famitsu score, we will not be dissapointed with the final product. That's what started the argument, with all the fanboys saying that Famitsu means nothing and could be completely wrong and not indicative at all of the final product, which is, in my opinion, silliness. 

 Rip on none, praise Wii.

I do tend to passive-agressively rip on the PS3 or 360 when I get heated, but that is unintentional. 

If you think of it, no game is more than "99% perfect", so you need to read perfect as "as good as it gets".

Perfect Famitsu score does indicate that the game will have high ratings, it's going to average above 90. But how much above, that's hard to tell, since japanese have different taste in games. Although, Smash Bros. is popular and liked everywhere and Brawl is obviously made with quality in mind, so i don't think it's going to get low reviews anywhere.

Some ppl dont like the truth heard or cant accept it.
