What do you guys expect for Wii? I expect

-KH3
-Tales of Hearts
-Suikoden VI
-Baten Kaitos III
-SoA2
-FF XIII spin-off

For Nintendo games:

-New Zelda
-Monolith RPG

Soriku... I would expect nintendo to have something up their sleeves BESIDES RPG's... I mean all of those are very possible, but I would hope there will be more variety than you suggest.

Now I'm really confused....Didn't Phatt Matt just throw a massive fit, claiming no publishers would touch AAA games for Wii? Seriously, why is this guy still working.

This is what I was thinking as well. He also decried the upcoming lack of third party support in a Wii-k in review about a month ago.

Which is it? What's with the change of tone?

Personally, I would put bets on publishers targeting the Wii with series which have been overlooked in favour of a much larger series. Over the past several generations a publisher was given the option of releasing a game on the best selling console against major series, or releasing it on a system with a much smaller userbase against much weaker competition; neither offered it much of an opportunity to become a break out success. Today the Wii has the largest userbase and (in many genres) the weakest competition so you have a very good opportunity to increase the sales and 'value' of your series.

With the RPG genre which soriku is so exited about, third party publishers can target the Wii with their RPG and avoid direct competition with Final Fantasy XIII which (being that the Wii userbase is RPG starved) could lead to much higher sales than these RPGs have seen in the past.

Hey, who knows, right? Maybe if you guys keep hoping and thinking about it, you'll get those 3rd party AAA's in your dreams.

Sorry, it's a litlte hard to dream let alone sleep from all the Sony fanboys crying out n agony from the AAA 3rd party title Monster Hunter 3 jumping ship from PS3 exclusivity to Wii exclusivity.

I guess that's what you meant before about these games being PS360 games.

If you consider the next instalment of a franchise that gets mediocre reviews and only sells well in Japan a AAA title, then I am sure you will get dozens of AAA titles on the Wii next year!

Really? I thought we were talking about MH3, Not Killzone 2.

First generation pokemon games were good, the second they introduced the 151st pokemon was introduced, the series got sucked into pop culture and has never emerged since.

I have my doubts about the 3rd party AAA titles though, why would a developer spend heaps of money making a AAA title game when they could just make a crappy game and slap "splinter cell" "MGS" "Resident Evil" "Kingdom Hearts" on it instead, considering that of the three AAA titles on the Wii at the moment (Zelda, SMG, MP3) only 2/3 sold well.

EDIT: Monster Hunter is not a AAA title, it's a mediocre hack and slash, like how dynasty warriors get's around high 60's every year, doesn't make them good games, only reason Monster hunter remains in the 70's is because it's slightly less generic AND it doesn't come out every year. End o' story

OMG! Monster Hunter hack and slash!? I've seen everything in my life now... Seriously, the core of the game is exploration, preparation prior to a big battle, using dropped items to make new weapons and armor, the game is incredibly deep and addictive if you put more than 3 hours to it!

Hah, right. I listen to those guys podcast every week on Wiik in Review, and even they make fun of the lack of AAA games for the Wii.

I think hope they are just being positive more than actually predicting a slew of announcements. But hey, we'll see.

Is this what you really wanted to say? I agree with your concluding sentence though.... We'll see indeed.

At this point I'll be able to play most games that come out (just got a few new PC parts to add to Wii and PS3), so I really don't care what system a game is on.
