im much more of a "gaming fan" than a "playstation fan" or anything else. if i really like a system i buy it. i looked into the WiiU and it doesnt really interest me. maybe just zombiU a bit but thats all

I got my PS3 at the very beginning of 2009 (first week of January). Had an absolute blast that week with Metal Gear Solid 4 (got it on sale for $27, no less), and the 3rd and 4th seasons of LOST on blu-ray (1 and 2 weren't released on BD yet).

Before that I got my Wii at launch in '06 with Zelda:TP, but that first day "wow" factor just wasn't there for me like it was with my PS3 or my Gamecube, N64, SNES, Genesis, or NES.

But I'm very excited for my WiiU tomorrow.

I am not getting my wiiU but until after december, I had some unexpected expenses and I am currently broken. it doesnt help the fact that the wiiU here cost more than $600... Buying a new console is always a very amazing experience, my last bought was the 3ds and I was really really excited about it! But I still have fond memories for the gamecube. I bought a lot of games and I remember being broken for a few months, totally worthy!

I haven't gotten a new console at launch since the GC, and that was a great experience. Rogue Squadron II and SSB Melee... now there's a killer launch lineup! And before that, it was the N64 at launch, which I gotta say was for me the biggest console launch ever and my favorite of all time, with SNES being a close second.

Nothing compared to finally being able to bust out my copy of Mario 64 for the very first time after literally years of anticipation (I had been following the development of the N64 all the way back to 1994 when it was still being referred to as "Project Reality" and I got my first taste of games like Killer Instinct and Cruis'n USA in the arcades.)

My most recent one was the 3ds and it was so exciting to get my hands on it. I really only got it for LoZ: Oot because I been wanting to play it again for the longest since I don't have a n64 anymore.
