Hostess Brands, the bankrupt maker of cream-filled pastries like Twinkies and Ho Hos, said on Friday that it planned to wind down its operations. The decision comes a week after one of the company’s biggest unions went on strike to protest a labor contract.

ok, so doesn't it seem like a bad Idea to strike when a company just went bankrupt? I don't think these unions served its members at all, as all of these employees will now be laid off. I'm sure twinkies and ding dongs will find a new home, but finding a new job for the workers will probably be a lot harder. Sometimes unions can be a good thing, but in my view, this is clearly an exaple of unions being harmful.
