Drop the bikes to!

No, bikes are awesome! Daisy + Mach Bike = <3

Actually: Daisy + Whatever bike or kart (or game) = <3 but whatever

I thought the online integration into Mario Kart Wii was the best part of the game, and one of the best examples of it on Wii in general.

Sure, it was simplistic and I wouldn't complain with more features. But it was simple, user-friendly and got the job done well, in my opinion. I had a of fun playing online with MKWii (and I appreciate how much more stable it was than Brawl, too).

More diverse options for online battle mode to, and I can't stand them casuals who play online with bikes on automatic drift

Now now, there will be no spitting around here!!

Make the battle mode fun again! No teams or at least have the option for free for alls.

Oh and I totally forgot: Bring back the multiplayer goodness of Mario Kart 64!

So you want no music, atrocious framerate, awful course design and terribly imbalanced items back? Mario Kart 64 lived off of being kids' first Mario Kart game and the back then four player multiplayer novelty. Every other Mario Kart game easily holds the spot of best fun-racer of its time, MK64 disappointed.

At least your list of five things is reasonable, but what I would want the most is that the base package gets an improvement. 20 new tracks and 20 classic ones, minimum. The step back to 16 new tracks per game was taken with MK64, yet another reason why I spit on that game.

Yeah, that's the part I was talking about I played Super Mario Kart on the SNES btw and Double Dash!! on Gamecube and didn't like them as much. You won't believe it but we regularly play Mario Kart 64 in 4 player mode even today. So your post is entirely subjective and sales don't back it up either.

I liked the item distribution in Mario Kart 64. The abundance of stars would counter red shells nicely. The donut stage was awful though.

i want to see more complex course design, vastly improved visuals, and new items, that should be taken from games already exist to make them more appealing

And your post wasn't entirely subjective and even less backed up by sales?

It would be for the best if the next Mario Kart will be like I want it while you can continue to play MK64. That way more people will be happy than the other way around.

I never claimed it was (and btw I LOVE Super Mario Kart. That seriously came out wrong. It can't compete with MK64 in 4-player mode for obvious reasons though). As for sales: Since it outsold all Mario Kart games released before Mario Kart DS I consider this a valid point.

I also never said the next Mario Kart should be like Mario Kart 64. And as you described my points in the OP as "reasonable" we don't seem to have broadly different tastes when it comes to our Kart games. Did you lose an online match or something?

If you wanna go the "I'm more in touch with the market" route here's my favorite Mario Kart games in order: Mario Kart Wii = Mario Kart DS > Mario Kart 64 = Super Mario Kart > Double Dash!! > Super Circuit (which I never owned before I got it as an ambassador game). I guess I'm pretty much in touch with the market haha.

(BTW I'm only talking about the battle stages - that's where MK64 wins over DS and Wii - not the versus races... the versus races in later games are better. Maybe we're talking about 2 different things)

I would like more customization also. You have a little variation in items allowed on the 3DS with different leagues. I would like to pick individual weapons to include or leave out (like Smash Bros). So one can take out the blue shell or any other item while including the items they want (for local multiplayer). I believe they did this a little for Double Dash (you could turn off character specific special items perhaps? not sure) but I don't think it has been on the customization level of Smash Bros.
