Yeah the XMB needs to be updated. And Sony's online service needs to be revamped it's a joke. What if Xbox and Sony were to make a joint console, the Xstation anybody? I've heard a few rumors about that. Sony is better at hardware and Microsoft is better at the software. They could mesh their strengths together and make one kick ass console.

Exaggeration. Care you explain yourself or should I just report you and move on?

No... that would doom the Nextbox before it even launches. If you think the world is ready for a console that doesn't use any sort of physical media, you're sadly mistaken.

1. A huge chunk of the world doesn't have the kind of bandwidth quality and speed required for an all-digital console. Even here in America,a lot of ISPs have caps that cut consumers' speed in half when they reach a certain threshold every month. But think of all the people without broadband connections that will be flat out abandoned.
   
   
2. Think of how many people depend on the used games market to sell games for more cash, and buy some games cheaper. I rarely sell my games, but I'd never buy a console that didn't give me a choice. And I can't afford to buy every  single game brand new. If you think Microsoft and publishers are going to grossly slash the price of AAA software just because they cut out shipping and manufacturing costs, especially knowing the already astronomical costs of development will rise again, you're once again sadly mistaken.
   
   
3. Why would companies like Gamestop support a console that kills their business? Gamestop would probably cut all ties with Microsoft if it went this route, because Gamestop is so dependent of the used gamed market. Without the support of Gamestop, the largest video game retailer in the world, the Nextbox would lose craploads of marketing and exposure.

Every game capable of 1080p, 60fps, high texture quality and post processing effects, adequate AA. Faster disc read speeds, no mandatory installs but the option to install any physical disc and play it without the disc inside the console. No gimmicks. No ads. Just games.

Report me for what? Expressing my opinion? We'll see who's laughing... DLCs are definitely the future dude, that's the way the market is going now. It won't kill retail, they can offer those little game cards instead of a full fledged disc based game. It's way cheaper and games will be easier to develop and it will be better for the consumer. And people won't have to worry about scratching, breaking, or losing the disc anymore.

Can't argue with that. No changes to the controller though? Absolutely nothing to seperate this console or these consoles apart from the others? I mean, even with Kinect and Move, you can't hate them too much because they are ultimately optional and don't effect the majority of releases for those who consider themselves serious gamers.

Well I think it's safe to assume that the Move will transfer over to the PS4 and that the 720 will get the Kinect or Kinect 2.0. It will just have to boil down to exclusives. I would consider changing the Dualshock 3 triggers, most shooters on the PS3 don't even utilize them for the shooting, that's assigned to L1 and R1. Also perhaps the dpad and 4 facebuttons on the 360, they feel a little too clunky.
