I love me some Halo 2, but I would vote against remaking it. Ten years is really not a very long time. I feel the same way about the anniversary edition for Halo: CE.

I think Bionic Commando was the perfect formula: a 20 year gap between the original and the re-imagined game. That allows for a leap in technology and for the original game to actually become retro.

There is one really good reason to re-release Halo 2, though, and that's to allow players to fight online in the multiplayer maps. Of course that wouldn't be necessary if Microsoft hadn't discontinued Xbox LIVE support for original Xbox games.

Hmmm, whilst I love most things Halo, I really don't need a Halo 2 remake, I've got it on Xbox and PC so Achievs and MP aren't a problem for me.

Having said that, 343i would need to do it inhouse with completely new graphics and animations and so forth as well as the Halo 2 MP with Halo 2 maps overhauled, then they might get me to buy it.

But really, I'm more than happy for them not to do it.

i hope so, when the Xbox8 comes out il probably buy a 360 so i hope Halo 2 is on there too! that way i can play

I want Halo 2 AE to get the exact same treatment as Halo CE AE. So that means a full HD modern makeover with a button to flip between classic and modern graphical modes, but nothing else changed. I don't care about the multiplayer so it can be can just come with the full Halo 4 multiplayer pack plus special Halo 2 maps.

What was so brilliant about Halo CE AE was that it respected the game enough NOT to "fix" it. Halo 2 deserves the same level of respect.

Wouldn't want this actually. Halo Ce anniversary was special because it was the game that gave birth to the franchise.

It's really low for a Halo name but I think a lot of it had to do with just adding maps to Reach. If Halo:CE had It's own servers and what not probably could have done a lot better, but that would have been more expensive to.

I really enjoyed Halo:CE Anniversary outside of the co-op online lag which never got fixed when I last played it. I want Halo 2 Anniversary but I think sales would have to double to really be worth it.

A lot of people feel the same way about Halo 2, though with online.  How do you reconcile that?

Ill buy it if it includes actual halo 2 online.
