#19 - Kula World is unlikely to be a game known by many here. It is however, an utter genius puzzle game. Actually, it looks kind of silly. The player is a ball, literally. Mostly a beach-ball even, that rolls around picking up pieces of fruit and keys. The catch is, that the ball can roll around the stages in all directions that are made up out of a couple of beam-like (beam as in, construction) platform things. The player must find his way (literally) around these beams and grab the keys to the goal. This is done by rolling around them in the 3D space at certain points or jumping from one beam to the other. It is fact quite complicated to explain, because some later become extremely complicated themselves. But the best way to describe the game's uniqueness; This is the only game for which I've ever bought the digital re-release!

Hehehe.

That was fast, I figured by mentioning E3 only there would be some other guesses. Guess not; TP's E3 reveal appears to be legendary!

Correct. Twilight Princess.

Good job Mr. Khan, now guess Kantor's!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Getting very warm, but what if I told you the word "time" is also not in the title?

Think about what my clue means and think of a game similar to Ocarina of Time.

Majora's Mask?

When you time travel the cutscene sort of looks like chains (but they are clocks though) connecting the top and bottom of the void and you are 'falling through the dimensions'. And the game is very similar to OoT... Or something.

19. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (2010)

Down from 8th is another solid platformer that at first seemed like it would be a mundane sequel to the original due to shared levels.  However, even the retro levels and those from the first Galaxy seemed mostly new with the new objectives placed inside them.  For the first time in a while Yoshi also came back to add his jumping variety to the platforming.  In addition, new powerups, my favorite being Cloud Mario, are superior to the older ones.  The prankster comets are less predictable and the staff ghosts give a fun goal to beat.  The more consistent access to Luigi allows you to use the type of character you feel like on a given day.  Then there are the green starts which improve greatly upon repeating the same levels with Luigi in the first game, though it almost seems like a waste that many people never see them because you need all of the original stars to unlock them.  The increased difficulty in this game and rewards for actually progressing are a fresh of breath air from the direction Nintendo had been taking Mario games.

Primarily an RPG player but have interest in any game that will make me think.

Oh my god.

Awesome. I didn't think this game would be guessed. It's not very well known I believe. I just checked, apparently it only sold 70k.

So, yes, correct. Kula World, or Rollaway in the US, it is!

Haha, I'm glad I guessed that one right :)

I played it on a demo disk like 15 years ago and then recently rediscovered it while it was on sale on PSN.  Really unique game, good pick!
