Frieza is sexier. ^^

Well Frieza made Goku turn Super Saiyan which is the greatest moment in DBZ history.

Seriously. I like Frezia but you have to admit his brother is cooler.

Ba dum tsh.

i still think the Freezer saga was the climax of Dragon Ball and where it should have ended.

getting even stronger became just silly from that point on

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I dunno.   I'd argue power levels got silly at the end of Dragon Ball.  As in, before they added the Z.

Master Roshi, aka "Guy too fucking weak to even be beat up before Goku showed up to save everyone else"  was casually blowing up the freaking moon at mid series.

Dragonball Powerscaling was nonsense, and it's stupid to think of DBZ in a relatable similar superhero level enviorment, since their energy attacks always did WAY more then their physical attacks could on an order of maginitude that's nearly impossible to overstate... yet both were treated as equals when fighting.  Or near equals anyway.

Supposedly the thing Ki control that allows them to fire those blasts also gives them a defense against the same blasts

Yeah, that was my guess too... but still, Roshi's most powerful attacks were moonbusters... which means somehing is seriously messed up, otherwise Goku/Vegeta's first battle should casually accidently blow up the world or at least leave GIANT hunks in it.

Dragon Ball was never meant to be taken seriously from a realistic point of view.

I don't think anyone would disagree with that

Well by that i mean power levels aren't supposed to be fairly consistent like say a superhero book with the Flash or Yu Yu Hakusho or anything.

Instead they're more like a Warner Brothers Cartoon... varying wildly without much sense pulling out the big stuff like planet busting or wiping out every human on the planet in like 5 seconds as just a way to "raise the stakes"... even though they pretty much always stay well below those levels.

Buggs Bunny and Marvin the marshin go around hitting each other with weaker stuff until they get to the moon and one of them accidentally blows up the moon with a big enough charge so there's only a tiny crescent left.

The only difference is DBZ does it for drama, not comedy.
