I'd assume that a lot of XCOM's sales came from digital PC sales. Really getting interested in this one, but I have way too many games to play atm. And I recently got into War of the Roses and M&B: Napoleonic Wars...
No creamsugar leaks yet... oh well, back to Mario.
XCOM probably sold close to or over 1 million counting digital.

PS2 is an exception, and look at how well the PS3 sold initially. Wii sales dropping off so sharply are probably an indication that Wii U sales will be very strong. It's a normal, healthy part of the shift to the next generation.

^Who cares about how the PS2 was doing? It is selling in places the Wii isn't even in. This is a completely different time period where one platform doesn't receive all the support in the world virtually. On top of that, the PS2's incredible performance looks like it was just lucky. Ever since then Sony hasn't even come close to their past success.
