This EXACT same opinion on the Wii U has been said before? Damn I must have missed that thread. |
My opnion was only on the gamepad. This is indeed fresh since he got to play games I didn't.

As with everything, the experience you get will heavily depend on your opinions and expectations ...
Someone who walks up to the Wii U and is of the mindset "Let's look at how crappy this system is" will likely find, or create, reasons to dislike the system; at the same time, someone who walks up to the Wii U and is of the mindset "Let's look how awsome this system is" will likely find, or create, reasons to love the system.
Now, comments like "Graphically speaking it doesn't meet my excpectations, the aliasing is horrible and the modeling looks poor" caught my eye primarily because I haven't seen any screenshots or videos of ZombiU that demonstrate aliasing, and when someone makes an inprecise claim like "the modeling looks poor" it is usually because they're trying to find something to support a conclusion they had ahead of time. What is it about the modeling that "looks poor"? If it is lacking in some technical way than it is easy to support using visuals (like screenshots or videos), but if you just dislike the artistic direction than it is not a really valid point.
How can a control pad be heavy when most of the people said otherwise.... Plus if Nintendo is really trying to sell this to most people including kids I do not believe that a 3yo will be able to play it no rpoblem than.
If it is than Nintendo is really trying to get hardcore and push casual away?
Switch!!!
I don't understand the gamepad responses. I thought it was very comfortable and my six year old daughter played it perfectly as well (with Rayman) using the touchpad and the sticks.
As for the graphics and lack of AA, these are earlier builds. We know from at least AC3 that its visuals are all fine now in the final build. Kinda stupid though that they are still using demos of nonFinal builds.
The OP is entitled to his opinion. The only silly thing IMO is the talk of weight of controller.
The wii u gamepad is almost twice as heavy as the x360 wireless gamepad. It shouldn't take a rocket science degree to figure this out why this is. It is heavier because there is much, much more tech in it.
Anyone that expected it to be the same weight as a standard gamepad lacks the grey matter.
The controller for the wii u is 500g according to sources. My less than one year old neice 's milk bottle weighs about 400g when full of milk and she has no problems holding it up with one hand.
I just find it strange that a teenager or adult would consider a 500g controller too heavy, in terms that it would affect effective gameplay.

I already admitted earlier in the thread that it was a irrelevant argument (I'll remove that from the OP to avoid further confusion). I didn't think about it atm but I was standing at the show, which will not occur at home where I would be sitting and consequently have some support for the gampad. Problem solved, my apologies.
Can I add you on 3DS?
Anyone looking at the Wii-U as a "core" machine is being foolish. It's a "family" machine in that it will offer a little of everything. If you want a "core" machine, get a decent PC and a Steam account. If that's not an option, then PS4 and 720. But please, stop deluding yourselves into thinking Nintendo is going to offer something for the guy who games 12 hours a day on Steam. It's NOT for you, so move on, please lol.

Hey, no worries. No big deal I was just thinking of possibilities myself, even because if true I would had a problems as my hands are not very big.
Have a good day.
