You mean to tell me that you're swayed by political ads? You should look objectively at the facts as best you can, and draw your own conclusions. The ad was paid for by the person who wants you to vote for them.... I don't see how anyone who claims to have their own opinion could be swayed by something like that. Those ads for the folks who don't care/ don't want to care/ will vote their emotion without knowing much of anything about the way things actually are.

And I don't believe Colin Powell is a conservative... if he were, he wouldn't be caught dead being in a political advertisement for a Chicago liberal.

This has to hit some Republicans pretty hard. Many wanted him to run for office, especially after it became clear he had more integrity than the top dogs in the Bush administration. I think there was a good chance he could have become President or Vice-President. I wonder what rationale will be used to vilify him now?

as for colin powell, only thing I really associate him with is George W., so no, I don't really care what he says.

Colin Powell may have all the integrity in the world...but if he is no longer a Conservative then I will not vote for him, nor do I care who he endorses.  Sounds to me like he should switch parties, unless he stays a Republican on purpose just to get people to switch.  Pretty under-handed thing to do...
