xD I was at a swedish game convention and got my hands on Ascension (as well as All Stars with all chars [jizz]) and Halo 4 even. Anyway, I wanna talk a bit about Ascension and its SP.

So at first when I got into that little booth in the corner, Kratos face was halfly shown in the camera just like GoW3. Its basically the E3 demo (yknow the one with the elephant and tentacle rape shit) but holy fuck dat graphics xD. Like Kratos looks really good. Im not too sure if I prefer this or GoW3 version of him (hes far more bulky in GoW3 and yknow ripped) but the graphics in term of colour and lightning is far more ..vibrant (?) i suppose. I like it, it feels fresh. And if the GoW3 demo is any indication of the difference between the full game and the build I saw, then holy fuck.

Anyhow moving on, the gameplay is largely the same but it feels as if Kratos is somewhat faster. The weapons you pick up are added to the circle....

I enjoyed it very much and th ebiggest awesome shit was the R1 tether thing (you can tether one of ur blades to another guy and then attack others or him and throw him around). With that said: It still.. feels a lot like GoW. Almost a little too much like GoW xD. I dont mind it at all, but based of the SP being a prequel and unless they have any huge ass plot regarding future games in the series, then I am very very scared that this game might be seen as ..more of the same and not in a good way. I am hoping the MP is very good because the SP doesnt convince me of the quality I loved in GoW3. Its far too early to tell since we havent seen anything else but it looks and plays well. I just hope the reason we are playing it is more than that of just slicing similar to all other GoWs (not that I dont like the gameplay because I do, but I just want something to motivate me and something as simple as wanting to fuck Zeus worked in GoW3 as I didnt know the outcome but here I feel like I do).

Tl:dr =>

Looks and plays great. But sceptical on story and feel it might not get so much praise unless the MP prooves to be VERY good.

It's going to be amazing.

But Aldro, have you played ACIII some more?

Yeah like 8+ hours in right now. I..m not sure brah! I dont really digg the pacing and most of the main story missions. They feel so.. "Eyo boy go and do this for me" and I am like "Dawg, Im an assassin, I keel" :(. And I miss having a city to like.. upgrade (?) [Never thought id miss that xD]. What I loooved about AC1 was the fact that there was like this huge Assassin place and everyone were so : Yeh we teh baws. Despite its horrible repetetiveness, AC1 like gave me the best feeling (and I truly loved Jerusalem Acre and all those places). AC1 with AC2/AC3s gameplay minus the repetetiveness would score veeeery high for me. Oh and Altair rocks.

The ship parts are fucking fun though. Hope theres more of that. Feels pretty bad ass haha. Would love it if you could like line up two ships and jump over and have a whole pirates fighting shit xD.

Also I honestly liked the guy I was at first and that plot twist, holy fuck haha didnt see that coming. It made me like the dude when at first I was like "GIMME CONNOR" lol.

I didnt even like Ezio that much but I miss the dude now. Love how Revelations ended with both Altair and Ezio. But I am not feeling Connor at all, even less than Ezio. The only interesting thing is the whole ..yknow.. daddy problem xD. Want to see that resolve, but right now I dread playing the main story for some reason xD. Have you beaten the game? If not how far are you? If yes what'd you rate the game?

So far I am leaning on a like.. 8 to 8.5 perhaps xD.

I tried racing in GT5 to win GT5 Academy edition but some guy looked like Sebastian Vettels son and I realized I was fucked before he beat me :(. I shall try again on saturday maybe :0. No really though, All Stars was the highlight. DAMN that was fun. Raiden, Dante, Nariko, DRAKE :D. Loved that shit.

It was alright but Kratos' brother shouldn't have died only shortly after he joined forces with Kratos to defeat Thanatos. That was a letdown.

I understand. Pacing is a hard thing to get right, and gamers are different in their personal tastes.

I totally agree on AC1, Jerusalem and the "assassin's crib". It meant so much for the atmosphere and story presentation.

I love Altair and Ezio about equally, I love them very much. And I have been very afraid I wouldn't like this Connor dude.

I haven't played ACIII and won't in a long time. I'm still in Brotherhood lol (close to the end) and I have an unopened copy of Revelations waiting for me.

Now spontaneously, you mentioned GoW: Ascension graphics, but spontaneously speaking, are they better than God of War 3?

Btw, what was this convention? I've been to one in the past here in Sweden (either at Sollentunamässan or Älvsjö) but I'm too old for those things now.
