@ Kasz216: I thought the game was meant to go back to a turn based way of doing things, perhaps not quite as stringently turn-based as DQ, but still Turn based.

This doesn't sound so much like Co-Op since it doesn't happen throughout the entire game, it seems like it's just going to show what other characters are doing while you're doing something.
No way! that is an awesome idea. I love playing 2 player games with someone rather than online .
edit: if there is 2 player option^ like FFVI

Yeah... I miss local 2 player co-op. I hate that they are cutting that out. I mean what if your friends don't own the system.
This isn't coop. Hasn't anyone here played Indigo Prophecy? They'll just be showing certain scenes from several different viewpoints at the same time.
Like FFVI wouldn't be a bad idea But Any Other Way I wouldn't agree...I just want a good old fashion FF RPG...
I love My Ps3
I like how people just completely ignored the fact that this is for cutscenes and completely fabricated 2 player co-op battle mechanics.

Interesting, but I hope it's not true, last few times S-E gave birth to a multiplayer FF, we got FFXI and Crystal Chronicles... so heres hoping it's not.
playing different character in differents location, that's not new for a final fantasy.
