Wouldn't it be something if PSASBR gets 96 on Metacritic, with the general consensus that it's even better than Uncharted 2?

Far Cry 2 has the best chance to get 90+ of the games that are left, but I don't think it'll make it. If the story is amazing (like they're hyping it up to be), reviewers will naturally go into hyperbole mode. I don't know about the multiplayer though

I believe you're right.  Maybe Hitman but I dont see that either. Reviews have been really harsh this year so Im not expecting any 90s next year besides Last of Us at the moment

Well, I am hoping God of War : A gets good reviews. It would be a shame otherwise, although it is a prequel.

Im sure it will get great reviews.  Anything between 86-92 probably.  Looks like a great game  and plus there isnt very many games like God of War.

There are many games like God of War, its jut that God of War is best in class, kind of like how Halo is for shooters. Darksiders 2 just came out, DMC is coming out and GOW:ascension is coming out. Being that its a prequel the game should get more hours of play. I got more hours out of Ghost of Sparta than I did part 3 even though 3 was aboslutely gorgeous.

That's what I meant.  The only ones I could think that is kind of respected is Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, and Bayonetta but none of those games are nearly as good as God of War.  And like you said Halo is respected as being a top tier FPS.  Itll be interesting to see what Ascension gets.  If you ask me it looks like the best God of War.

It looks utterly brutal and now that Ghost of Sparta finally made sense out of the character of kratos he actually has more than one reason to fight instead of being angry for no apparent reason. its going to be very, very brutal and this is a much younger Kratos, so I am sure hes going to be more wreckless.

I never played Ghost of Sparta

its on PSN for $19.

I know.  Ill prob get both the PSP games on PS3 sometime, just putting it in my back catalog for when I have time.  I always hated the PSP so I skipped them.l  The only game I bought for my PSP was Peace Walker and that's because Hideo Kojima was making it.

I got both on the PS3. They both look like PS2 HD games but are still very fun.

Graphics doesnt bother me.  I prefer gameplay over graphics.  Graphics is just a bonus to me

Yeah still predicting between a 78-82 for that game.

Strange thread. It always puzzles me when people who haven't played a game are saying what a review score SHOULD be. It also puzzles me as to why it's a big deal. Scores are highly subjective and not everyone is using the same scale of "85 is average", and even if they did, degrees of enjoyment are entirely relative. No one should be trashing a reviewer because he didn't enjoy the experience as much as the next guy, or didn't like how the game handled this or that aspect of play.

I don't know about anyone else, but to me, the difference between an 88 and a 93 on Metacritic is pretty close to nil. All I care about is whether or not it sounds like a good game in general terms, which is why the WORDS in a review are so much more important than the numbers.

Halo 4 sounds like a good game. Pretty much all the reviewers like it a lot and recommend it. That should be enough for anyone.

I don't believe that is why everybody is upset.  Everybody knows it's going to be an amazing game and when you hear the majority of the reviews saying it's the best halo yet but it has a lower score is upsetting people.

Have you guys seen this mess of a review yet?

Don't even know why they added it to Metacritic.

Tom Chick has connections I imagine.

a 2/10?!? What an absolute joke of a review.

88 on Meta now... I can't see it cameback to 90 with this 20/100 reviews added.
