I actually love that the beginning of the game is slow.

Too many games now days are just set piece after set piece with Bombastic explosions everywhere. The prolouge is a great change of pace

Beat it.

Too tired to tell you my biggest gripes (its 6am). But I can give you a number for the lulz...

Its weighing between a 6 or 7/10.

Fucking let down immensly. Good night.

Aww.... Don't say that.

Maybe your judgement is blurred by your marathon playthrough through the whole night?

Woke up.

Listen everyone, beat the game then come back.

The ending with Desmond is terrible and just a big ass slap in the face. The final ...moments with Connor is poorly done and a chase scene which is the final thing you do is poorly designed and horribly frustraighting. In general the motivation for it is just.. no.

There is no grey area when it comes to ..a certain sitatuation despite the game hinting at it because of a great tension and interaction going on between Connor and.. someone else (wont say for spoilers sake). But at the end, thats completely thrown out the window and its just played out so horribly.

Add that to the horrible ending of Desmond.. Ew.

With that said: I will ofcourse still hopp in and run around as Connor as the gameplay is fun, but fuck that story man.

Plus:
Connor and Haythan was a really nice story and to watch it unfold was interesting mostly.
Gameplay is by far the best in the series.
Really ambitious.
The sea missions are godly.
A pretty good soundtrack that makes you feel pumped.
Some really nice moments.

Cons:
The story in my opinion is a disaster. I feel the ending was just terrible.
Major annoyances in certain missions due to linear paths given that are poorly designed. (One chase scene in particular...)
Graphically inconsistant and lots of bugs/glitches and framerate dipps during very hectic moments.
The pacing feels a bit off. The game starts somewhat slow indeed but it always progresses until a point when you are Connor and it just goes terribly slow.
So many fetch missions.. so many.
The lack of assassin-esque feeling makes me somewhat sad. Altair and Ezio had this brotherhood or they were always following this certain "creed". This is pretty much non existant and the motivation for the final objective is just redundant and confusing.
The horses are terribly stiff and the missions in general could use a bit of variation.
Certain moments are not well written and never implied, infact its the opposite and you might find yourself go "Oh he knew that?".
In general it just feels like a very stressed out game.

7/10

I don't plan on finishing the game for awhile. I'm only half way through the game, were you first become the adult connor, but from what I've played so far I completly agree with everything you've said. I want to focus on other games, and come back to this at some point, but from your post,I'm not in any hurry 2. 7/10 from what I've played so far.I pesonally like ezio as a character better, then connor.

Only in the second mission of sequence 6, but I'm liking it for the most part so far. The combat is greatly improved, thankfully, and so is the on foot terrain traversal. The horses suck however, and some of the missions seem like they didn't put a lot of effort into testing how they could actually be completed. Some missions, I would fail for no apparent reason, while I would succeed by accident in others.

Another thing thats quite funny actually is that when I hunt, I dont really take a slow approach or anything.. no..

I run dead on in the forest, with the Tomahawk equipped and just press Square to swing it like mad. I know its crazy, but for some reason, the AI animals just run into me sometimes and die LOL. Hilarious.

Ive beat the game but I really have no idea what to do now. I just went back in and.. like.. can I do anything? I was in New York but there really isnt much to be done. Am I missing something? xD

Also I beat the game on 12 hours. Rather quick but I reaaaally wanted the story :P

The way the story is put together they might as well have not been made it open world. It demands complete focus is paid attention to it. I must ask much have you made in the game? I haven't made a dime off of honest work because honestly, I just dont care. This is one of the ture failures of the game. Theres zero balance between exploration and story. They dont work in harmony at all. LOL

I just run from the main story to the next. Now that there is none.. I just dont know what I should do. Like.... I cant manage a house/city.. right? Can you even buy other weapons? (LOL). No really, am I being stupid or is the game just lacking in replay value? I have like 9000 £, what to do with em?

To the folks that played this and Borderlands 2, which one do you recommend and why?

Im in sequence eight and I have only truly messed around as desmond only once. I dont care about screwing up sequences anymore, I just want to unravel the story at this point. LOL

Okay looked around, apparantly you can buy shit xD. You ought to think with a slow start like that, they'd guide you through all of that atleast. But still, all I feel like doing is run around and kill soldiers and while the gameplay is much better than the other ACs, im kinda done with it after 12h xD. Kinda wish I didnt buy this on day one.
