Forums - Nintendo - Wii U queue dispersed ahead of Hurricane Sandy

VG247

Isaiah-Triforce Johnson has had to abandon his position as the head of the queue for the first Wii U in the US as New York battens down ahead of Hurricane Sandy’s arrival. This is disappointing for Triforce, although he’s quite sensible about it, but almost certainly the least awful consequence that is likely to result from the extreme weather, especially as Nintendo will let him take top spot again. Best wishes to everyone in affected areas. The Wii U launches in November assuming the world hasn’t exploded by then.

Thanks, Kotaku.

Either way, at least Triforce could've taken a shower.

Is it confirmed that he will be able to get top spot again by default after the storm? Would hate to see a douchebag get in line before him just to steal all his spotlight. Not that I care but it would suck for him.

Katrina hit the same year the 360 released.  I had one back ordered at Gamestop and they called me in January and said mine was available. I was excited until they told me that the last 8 houses they called had their phones disconnected. It sucked that I got my 360 because 8 houses were destroyed but I was still a little happy.
