Forums - Sony - Vita's new slogan?: "Console quality on the go"

Ad was pretty good... I guess Vita still has a chance this holiday of doing some acceptable numbers!

Around the Network

Bundle ad shows off the white PSV...... Black ds3 turns into a black PSV.

Stop with the racist handheld ads Sony I'm tired of this crap you racists. Why couldn't a black ds3 turn into a white PSV? I doubt that you believe it's possible but racism ended when we elected Barack Obama. This is the biggest reason why you are losing in the handheld market Sony. These racist ads are making you look terrible and unless you prove the world that you are not a racist then I and many other non-racists will not buy your handheld.

AC:L looks good though.

Let me guess: The "I am not a gamer..." ad was for a Nintendo system?

Ding ding ding.

I love the recent Sony ads. This one and the recent PSASBR ads look so cool! Having actors play as characters from games gives these ads a different feel :)
I'm not sold on the slogan though. Not catchy.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

geez. no i haven't seen it but this is a terrible slogan. sony really needs to fire their entire marketing staff or something...

also, your sig is waaaaaay too long.

is that sarcasm? XD lmao

I think the slogan could be better but it is certainly not bad. People think console quality on Vita is some sort of bad thing but it isn't. Having console quality games on the go and having an actual console game put on a handheld are two different things. ACIII:L is not a port of any kind and is a seperate entity of it's own...with console like presentation, but crafted for a portable experience. How is that bad?

ironically, Nintendo is doing the same thing on the 3DS and no one is complaining there. Zelda:OoT(remake of a console game),Resident Evil Revalations, MGS3D, KH3D, etc. Contradictions much? These all seem to do just fine on a handheld and presented with a console like quality. And no one respond with any BS that these games are more "portable friendly" than the likes of what Vita has to offer because it is simply not true and its just drivel used for the doom brigade camp to put down the Vita :/

carry on lol

I think they should bring back the old "Live in your World; Play in ours" slogan for the Vita. It could be used effectively to convey the "Quality gaming - on the go" message they seem to be aiming for while providing a catchy saying.

ah hah! I got it

Live in your own world

Vita = Life = Live. :P

Glad someone got it

"Live in your World; Play in ours"

is that actually an old slogan?  i don't remember it.  either way, a much better slogan.

Bad slogan. The console market wants a big TV to game.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

no sarcasm, aside from kevin butler i hate everything about sony's marketing.  i mean really, the scary baby commercial?  who the fuck green lit that idea?!?

sony has some great offerings and great games but they fail to convey that to anyone.  i'm still annoyed they didnt advertising free access to online gaming and psn+.  i still run into 360 owners that are surprised to hear they only they are getting charged to play their games online. and psn+ ought to be a huge motivator to cheapskate gamers who want a lot of gaming for their buck.

It was an old slogan for the PS2. It works with the Vita on more than one level. Take this ad for instance.

Now the ad is slightly overdone in the dramatic sense, but it shows a guy on the go getting involved in a game-like event. It's a perfect parallel to what the Vita is/can be to consumers. Even the AC ad in the OP could show a guy playing his Vita on the train at the end or something and then flash the slogan; "Live in your world. Play in ours."

like the slogan ...but still a bad ad.  a full minute of air time and less than a second of "ps2" flashing across the screen.  oh sony, poor poor sony.   well i guess now i know what i dont' remember it at least.

The Bears came back and won. Yes!

"Console quality on the go." That's a good slogan for the PSP Go.
