Why bring PS3 into this? Trying to play fanboy? It has nothing to do with the topic and sounds like trying to start a console war.
...but since you did, lets rip that weak argument apart. You know the difference between a 16% price drop (PS3) and a near 50% price drop (3DS) I assume, the 3DS dropped in almost half the time, Nintendo offered 20 games as compensation to early buyers, and no Sony did not give free games away to people who already bought a PS3 as a way of saying sorry.

Is that not what your post sounded like to start with? Your entire post was to disparage the 3DS and negate its success. That was a bait post and you know it so I threw you one back. You bit and are now trying to play umbrage.
And while Sony didn't give away games to current owners after the price drop, it did offer massive software deals and bundles. And don't forget the 5 free Blu-ray movie deals.
And Nintendo's 20 games for Ambassadors were not current retail titles either. They were Virtual Console classics.
