Forums - Nintendo - Wii U. I thought it was cheap?

The gamepad introduces new ways to play.
It does things like, showing the rear view mirror in a driving game, or using it like a shield to block arrows, or to hold your ninja stars that you swipe INTO the tv from the remote. There's a lot of cool things about it, and it really should be the one reason to buy a wiiU, not 4 player multiplayer lol.

Are you for real?

Seriously. So whats the point in the Wii U pad for games. If it makes absolutely no difference since you can play it with a Wii Cintroller.

Can you buy the console without any Wii U controllers and save money?

Id rather do that so I can play 4 player, because I obviously dont need a Gamepad.

Asynchronous multiplayer.  Look it up.

Ohhhhhh. No thanks.

I might get a console on Ebay with no Wii U gamepad. Then its 4 player local ere we come. Which is the whole reason Id get one in the first place.

You still need a GamePad.

Never mind.

Trolling.  Absolutely has to be trolling.   Did you read a similar troll thread at another site and think it would be funny to do it here?

Whats your problem?

For years Nintendo pioneered local multiplayer. Now they appear to change it completely. If there was 1 thing I was 100% sure of 2 hours ago it was local Nintendo multiplayer with Gamepads. Now I'm lost.

Just wait until the console launches, see how lost the general consumer will be then! It will be hilarious.

Should of been quick, I got mine for £300

I think consumers are already lost, confusing New Super Mario Bros Wii U as a Wii game.

huh? I thought in Europe the deluxe model had a choice of NintendoLand or ZombiU as the pack-in game.
Also, wtf are you concerning yourself with multiple gamepads.... you probably already have some wiimotes, so day one at most you'll maybe want to buy another wiimote or pro controller. Multiple gamepad support will come next year.

As for the on board storage... I think 32GB is a perfect option. I get some base if I am not a digital user (many are not). Then I can choose my storage solution that best fits my needs and realistically its FAR cheaper than having one forced on me.

The only thing that is disgusting is your pointed OP to drive reaction.

Hmmm. Research by me definately needed.

Pricewise though I was shocked. however taking out the need for a 2nd Gamepad brings the cost down alot.

This thread is an absolute trainwreck of trolling, and now others are joining in. Fantastic.

Go look up the information on how the Wii U works if you want to educate yourself, instead of taking our simple answers and throwing your own twists to them. Then again, if you truly cared to educate yourself on the Wii U, you would have done the research after the first 5 times people told you to. No, instead you keep lambasting the console with false truths.

Wait. I thought the Wii U was supposed to be priced well.

Now The top model which comes with only 32 gb HDD. ( WTF? 32 gb )

Is 309.99 GBP. No games.

An extra controller is 109.99 GBP

And a game is 49.99 GBP.

Now for me to buy a Wii U which I was considering at Crimbo with 2 controllers and 1 game is 469.97GBP ( About $752 US ).

WTF?????

I would have at least expected 1TB HDD and a bundle for around 350 GBP. Not Approaching PS3 launch price in my country with a controller and game. I could get a PS3 on launch day with an extra controller and game for 499 GBP in 2006.

This is putting me right off. To have 4 Wii U controllers it will cost me 329.97 GBP on top of the original Console price.

DISGUSTING.

Are you being serious or seriouslly trolling?

Why would you buy 2 or more tablets when no game is in development that uses 2 or more tablets?

And why get stuck with a fixed HDD size can simply use any external HDD you want.   You want a TB HDD, add one.

And 49.99  GBP is retailer rpice, not an RRP.   You can blame the stores for that mark up.

This ^^

A poor effort at trolling imo.

For my money it's worth buying a Wii U for the exclusives alone.

Selnor, you could always buy 3-4 of these.

It should be perfect for Call of Duty or whatever launch game is featuring 4-player multiplayer. Also, much cheaper than the GamePad. -.-

Honestly if you don't like the price, don't buy it. That is your prerogative. I remember buying my PS3 at 599.99$ at launch and came with nothing - THAT IS DISGUSTING. And god forbid, only 20 Gb.

Pretty sure there was a higher gigabyte model available at launch. Either 40 or 60.

Anyway, back then hard drives weren't as cheap as they are now. Which brings me to ask, Nintendo, why only offer 8 and 32 gig Wii U models? It is 2012, you can do better.
