It would be an interesting thing to have the option to have a dynamic theme that changed each week that cycled through screenshots of new releases on the PlayStation Store. Every week it would change.

Showing games that hit the store, but it be the actual game and not a "poster" style ad.

It may be for SCEE regions only.

Probably is, I also have the SS icon.

It's wierd because SS isn't exactly big and it's unlikely to get any bigger. So the rationale for placing the launcher so prominently escapes me. But I don't think it's all that big of a deal.

It is obtrusive design, and Sony gave people to ability to create folders for games for a reason, as well as to delete unwanted apps or games, which defeats your lame attempt at sarcasm.


Sony has had designs like that before when you touch an icon and half the page is a marketing campaign. lol

ofcourse the ploy here is to make the singstore more popular so that more people buy some songs there..

but for that they really should make the songs exportable as mp3 or a similarly common format, so that you have more use out of it then just to listen/sing to it while playing singstar

 

by the way, the firmware only includes the icon, the software has to be downloaded manually, so atleast it doesn't take up much hdd space

I know it is a game, nearly everyone does, it is unwanted on there XMB there and obtrusive.

To you it is unwanted, but thankfully to the 99% of the ps3 fanbase who are not die hard gamers this free game might be welcomed. It goes with Sony's plan to cater for the casuals this christmas. When a parent buys a ps3 for the children with LBP, wonderbook or whatever, singstar will be an added bonus. 

Stop whining. This was not thread worthy.
