I know it is a game, nearly everyone does, it is unwanted on there XMB there and obtrusive.

To you it is unwanted, but thankfully to the 99% of the ps3 fanbase who are not die hard gamers this free game might be welcomed. It goes with Sony's plan to cater for the casuals this christmas. When a parent buys a ps3 for the children with LBP, wonderbook or whatever, singstar will be an added bonus.
