Forums - Nintendo - EA's Origin is required for EA games on the WiiU

I stopped buying EA games for PC. If they continue requiring Origin for games and they add singl player to that i will stop buying them on consoles too.

Around the Network

Against better judgment, I still hope they at least won't screw up on SimCity 5. All this required online, 'social' bullshit is really annoying. Well, I won't buy any EA WiiU games then!

Please EA, don't be asses.

I actually noticed that they wanted me to sign in with my Origin ID when I was playing Sims 3 Pets on PS3 the other day. I don't have an Origin ID :(

I'm not opposed to getting one - I don't view the service as any worse than Steam, really - it just seemed a bit lame. So I didn't bother going online with the game, isn't very crucial to the Sims anyway!

i don't see the problem... i have a EA ID (aka origin ID) for years now (like, 10 years) and still no one from EA ever knock on my door, steal my teddy bear, or drunk my chocolate milk from my fridge... its fine... relax people.

They are required on Wii, Xbox360 and PS3?

not sure about Wii but even your article in the OP mentions that it's required on PS360 games.

Yes, on WIi, too.
