Actually...probably not.

I know it's hip to hate him, but not probably not, definitely yes, let's be realistic.

It's hip to hate him not because its just hip but because of the loony and outrageous things he claims and how far off the mark he usually is.

the first minute was okay, perhaps needed a few more references but an appropriate led in.

..but that last minute right after kratos, nathan, cole, and sackboy were introduced... the fighting was slow paced and boring and lame and does nothing to make me want the game. overall...terrible ad. the "to michael" ad was waaaaaaaaaaay better.

fuck you sony marketing...why must you suck so completely.

Was that really the whole thing? Disappointing to say the least. If this is all the camping PASBR will get then the game will not sell really well...

Nintendo and PC gamer

A little bit of gameplay would've been greatly appreciated. But, they went through the 'Michael' approach.
Lol at the gamer at the end.

The marketing is one of their biggest flaw, sure, but that's because they don't do enough of it, not because they can't make them.

People say this all the time... but I don't think it's true.

There's even a Pach--attack video about that sometime ago saying in fact that was the opposite, they do more adverts than the rest (yeah yeah, it's pachter... but hey, better than you and me right?).

Actually...probably not.

What I meant is that they don't advertise enough, that is they don't spend enough on ad spaces. They make many ads, sure, but most are visible to only a small part of the population.

Link? Or are these just more excuses?

For example, he claims if Apple were to go into the home console business they would make a deal with Activision or EA and "not the 10th biggest publisher"

Let's get real here Pachter... Apple would make a deal with who it would be able to make a deal with and Activision and EA are less realistic then Sega especially since EA would likely loose Madden in that deal.

Sony should stick to game footage commercials. They are light years behind MS in live action advertising

Which further proves Sony is light years behind MS in live action advertising.

More like proves they are light years ahead, especially if you include their adverts for their movies

Apples and oranges with their movie division. That one ad is their very best over 6 years. Doesn't compare to the Believe ad, ODST, Reach, and Scanned

Lol of course microsoft will put a lot of money into a Halo ad. It's one of their FEW selling exclusives. Give me a break dude. If sony wanted to go all out they could easily do it seeing as they have Sony Pictures. Don't be such a blind fanboy.

Hey excuses dont take away the facts. Sony had 6 years to go "all out" and the best they came up with was a 2 minute ad Long Live Play

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Its not that hard to make a high budget commercial about spartan soldiers nor imagination. This commercial was far lower in budget and thought process. Dont underestimate Sonys ability to make films. Thats why they have Sony pictures.

Thats very ignorant considering Halo lore goes way deeper then what the casual non Halo gamer assumes about its story.

MS just makes it look easy but it is by no means easy.

Bull. Halo isn't expanding the view of Sci-fi and Mass Effect brought far more depth. If anyone could make a live action movie of all the top Sony characters and it was actually great they deserve a damn medal. The code for a Halo-type movie has long since been cracked since Starship Troopers.

Expanding scifi? I meant expanding the lore within halo itself. Space marine movies like your example tend to be cheesy. A pure Halo movie would convey seriousness and depth, as glimpsed by Forward Unto Dawn.

I stand by my origional point.
