I pre-ordered this baby 10 minutes after receiving an email from Microsoft.

Very happy for Microsoft. Of course we do not really know how many were available (out of the 3 millions they manufactured) but it is great to see that people want it :) The device looks awesome and Windows 8 is a charm to use, already installed it on all my PC (even my MacBook ) with my MSDN subscription few weeks ago, love it. 

Ordered mine on the pre-order date, I am glad orders are going strong.

I thought the commerical for this was bang on, but its still overpriced...

You may be talking about Smart Glass which is another Windows Tablet.  The Surface will do everything the Smart Glass does.  Smart Glass is what they were showing at E3 if that's what you are talking about.  

I really hope this thing can compete with Ipads.  I really don't like Apple, plus Microsoft has always made great products that I've liked :)  I love my windows phone.  

Smart Glass isnt a tablet......Smart Glass is a software update for the 360 that lers it communicate with any ios or android device. Allowing you to use the phone or tablet you already own as a controller for the 360

But yeah the Surface looks excellent

Seems like this will be a success. Can't wait to get my Surface. I even ordered a 64GB micro SDXC (Amazon had them for $43 shipped today) to slap on this baby.

Also Smart Glass is already available with Windows 8 for those who are lucky enough to have an MSDN subscription and you can already connect to your Xbox with it. I played with it and I think it has a lot of potential. I can control my Xbox to a certain extend from my PC. For instance I have my music library on my PC and with Smart Glass I can play it directly on the Xbox without the need to even go in my living room. 

You can also use your tablet / PC / phone to control Internet Explorer on the Xbox (touch screen for the mouse) and use the keyboard for input. Pretty cool.

I'm very glad I will receive my Surface before Halo 4 ships because I want to enjoy the game integration with Smart Glass too. Microsoft did not reveal a lot about it but I have great hopes :)

Excited for my HTC 8x on T-Mobile when it comes out. However still torn between getting a surface tablet, or getting the new nexus tablet. If I got an android tablet and a WP8 phone I'd have the best of both worlds. I still need to get a Wii U too! Too much good tech this year.

Not a huge suprise, but good none the less.

Im thinking of using a tablet for my last year in highschool.

Might choose surface.
