lol this is the funniest thing about people that try to defend PASBR not being a clone. The developers have flatout said they were inspired by Smash. They showed the game off and it turned out to be quite close. I wonder if there's a Wii also in the LBP and LBP Karting studios?

Well, they did say they were inspired by Smash Bros.  I guess sometimes they needed to be inspired as they were physically developing the game.  They needed a Wii there so they could capture their inspiration while it was fresh.  Sometimes, they needed to boot up the Wii just to make sure the end product matched their inspiration.  #Notaclone

I'm on the side of the fence that it isn't a clone but it is funny to find this picture. As long as we don't here  "Hey Omar I finished play testing, can I take a break playing smash?" then I think we are in for a great game.

I didn't believe it til I actually went to their site to see it.... amazing, I mean they could be checking out the other fighting games you could be playing on the wii..... like.... umm.... and.... that..... oh there's Tatsunoko vs. Capcom?

There are some very poor knock offs out there.  Sometimes you try to copy something good, but you just can't do it.  See games like Mole Kart.  They copied Mario Kart 7 as much as possible, but the end product still sucked.  It's not always easy knocking something off.

Of course, I'm not saying PASBR is as bad as Mole Kart.  It's a reasonably good rip off, and it's fairly fun, albeit somewhat unpolished and a wee bit slow, but the point is just because you rip something off doesn't mean your product is going to be as good.


So since people have only played betas and early builds the final version that gets polished and runs smoothly will meet your expectations? You speak as if you are judging the final build.



Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I think its a similar game, not a clone. But what if SSB is never exist, I think sony will never make this game :/
