I thought it had been reported that Mass Effect 3 was running at 60fps?

The version running in 60fps was the the PC version... not Wii U.

"in the case of Mass Effect 3 we suspect that the PC version was being used." - Digital Foundry

The developer, Straight Right, only said "The game will run at 720p."  for now.

Edit- The Assassin's Creed 3 Wii U showed until now lacks a lot of graphics features present in PS360 version.

Your own article states that they based their fps figures on the sizzle reel which showed 30 fps gameplay but when played on the show floor,  many games were actually 60 fps.

That article is also comparing game builds that are now nearing 6-8 months old.  And even gos ont o admit, "these games have been created on incomplete hardware."

Listen, dude: if you're going to keep bringing facts and reason into these threads, you're going to have to be banned for making this a place worth visiting and reading.

(I'm pretty sure that's in the site rules. I think.)

Next week Wii U to make movies. ROFL.

I know Ubisoft need to plug the Wii U but that was ridiculous.

Other than that yes we already know the Wii U is more powerful than PS360. Just not nearly enough for a new generation. The nextbox will be where I buy my Watchdogs games etc.

This is where delusion sets in.

Wii U can easily run what you saw in WatchDogs.

The neXtBox's difference to Wii U will be less than the difference between Wii U and PS360. Wii U's is barely being touched at this point. Just like 360 on its first year ports of last gen titles.

When you consider that most HD console games are running at (below) 720p and struggle to run at a steady 30fps even though the engines have been highly optimized for these systems after being on the market for 6/7 years, and these same games have been ported to the Wii U and are running at 720p@60fps while outputting additional graphics to the tablet screen, it is very fair to say that the Wii U has demonstrated that it is far more powerful than the HD consoles.

With that said, the area you would expect to see the biggest advantage is (probably) textures being that the Wii U GPU may have a substantial amount of eDRAM that could act as a texture cache, the Wii U has substantially more memory, and both would translate to being able to render more textures which are also higher resolution.

At this point, the only people who still really believe that the Wii U is not more powerful than the 360 and PS3 are people with a devotion to  ignorance.

Well said.

Finally a man who knows what he is talking about . How you doin' chuck?  Now tell these nice folks why the Wii U is more than 50% more powerful than the PS360.

Lol. All it takes is a quick look at the confirmed specs to see that Wii U is easily more than 1.5X the power of 360/PS3. Why are we still talking about this? All that matters is if Wii U can succesfully run next-gen games... which may remain up in the air until the 360/PS3 era is finished running its course.

Video games.....I don't know how they're made, but I can play the hell out of em!

"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

You don't need to tell me but some in here still think that!!!!

Hell all it takes is a quick glance at Assassin's Creed 3 on Wii U compared to on PS3/360 to know it's more powerful. And that's a multi-platform title that's launching with the system, so imagine how games specifically made for the console are gonna look in a year or two compared to PS3/360 ones.
