How do you people like to game, do you have quirky little gaming habits or rituals? Be it sitting in a certain chair, having the room lit a certain way, the way you hold or position your controller, or perhaps set times for gaming. Just a little lighthearted thread to see if any of you would like to share your strange gaming habits or , little tricks you think will make you a better gamer.

Feel free to post online gaming rituals too, eg certain weapons in shooters or tactics you may deploy in certain games.

When a game has a mediocre plot, I create my own story in my head and pretend like that's the actual story as I go through the game.

Andre- That takes some good imagination :D

I can't play a game that someone else in the house has finished, even if I didn't see them during.

i take a beer or two or something else

I can't have someone else in the room while I'm playing a game, they take my attention away from it. That's also why I like to play in the dark while playing them. And I do like to flip my controller in the air and make it land in my hand when I get into the game.

I always maximize efforts to save friendly A.I.'s from dying. Not sure if I do it out of sympathy or to make the games more challenging. Probably both.

One of mine is having a warm up game, a game not too involving that i can play for 10-20 mins to get the old reflexes and alertness going before moving on to my main game of the moment. These games have ranged from a couple of matches on Fifa to Wave Race doing a few races ,or a fighting game like Soul Calibur or Tekken.

Wow I do the same thing like in halo i try to keep the marines from dying etc....

I like difficult games, the harder the better. I like to play all the games on the higher difficulty level, and I really don't get frustrated by those games. That's also why I love the NES library so much, still need to beat Battletoads without cheating though...
