I will say that even stores are nervous about the name of of both this and the 3DS. They have dummied up there weekly flyers for consumers in case they are confused. Go to walmart. Com and look atnthis weeks flyernto see for yourself.

The should have just called it the Wii but added another "W" to the front. Doesn't WWII sound epic? But I guess Wii + U is pretty inclusive. Who does it leave out? Nobody. We+You=Us. All of us. And Us=U.S. It's obvious that the Wii wants to win the United States (the biggest gaming market out there).

See why I don't smoke marijuana? Because of shit like this.

If you are trying to say what I think you are trying to say, that still wouldn't stop them from calling it Wii 2, or something similar.


Idk most nintendo names correspond to the HW, of course they created the Wii brand and name for that particular HW. Wii U is like a Wii but with a U gamepad. N64 64 bit gaming, DS Dual screen, 3DS 3D and dual screen, etc etc. But again they created the name for U pad so I think it is similar to what they did with the Wii.

I can see what you are getting at. But it's called Wii U gamepad ;)
