Ouch 2 ours think I'll skip.

Bought Journey, it was ok. Way to short for the price though.

Why are PSN games ive bought shor.

Ive bought a lot of XBLA indie or Arcade and the games are much longer and very quirky indeed.

An exclusive Xbox Live Arcade game that is unique that is on the top ten list? Oh, I've got to hear about this.

How many of you guys here in VGChartz hav actually played any of the indie games or Xbox Live Arcade games?

I dont want to turrn this into a Live vss PSN thread. I merely wondered why they are so short in comparison.

Ive got Indie games that are 8-10 hours long and cost me 90p for the full game.

The main Arcade section which Ive bought from ve not boght a game that has aken less than 6 hours.

And there are some hugely wierd and wonderful games on Live. Insanely twisted Sadow Planet was one of my most recent awesome ones I purchased.

Well the reviews I check say Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet last for 5 hours so that condradicts your point kind of. There is plenty of longer titles on PSN as well, you just need to check what titles are available. Journey, Flower, The Unfinished Swan are not the only PSN games lol.

Almost all  are available on Live though. I just wanted to try the exclusives. but not for that price at that length. If its like 1 pound on sale then I will try them. Journey was ok.

I'm sick of these super short games that feel more like tech demos getting a super high score only because it's ''different'' and ''artistic''... It's not a shooter, we get it, but just because it's different doesnt make it deserve a 9/10 despite lasting two hours.

Srsly, what is wrong with these reviewers? Flower, Journey, now this. For me, these games are just like Portal1, original but nothing more than a tech demo of what the game should be (compare Portal1 to Portal2)

Have you actually played them? I didn't believe the reviewers until I played Journey. My most unique gaming experience ever and my third favourite game of all time. I've been gaming for 20 years and have played about 1000 different games. Journey is just that good (though like every other game, not for everyone).

There are a lot of good/great cheap long games on psn too, such as hydrophobia (costs less than a pound). I'm sure xbla has some amazing games, but the length doesn't bother me at all as long as they are good.

Nope

And many, many of the Live games are available on PSN or PC.

Please tel me. Cause I have looked and not found many. Live has about 2000 more games.

Rochard, Wipeout HD (and the expansion pack Fury) - hey, it's a PSN game, the Pixeljunk games, Joe Danger, Critter Crunch, Super Stardust HD to name a few off the top of my head that are not on Live.

joe danger is on live. both of them^^  but like i said before, people really should check all live games and not only arcade section. some of the indie games are not so bad and there are 2500 indie games alone on the 360.

I hate having to repeat myself, but I have the Xbox 360 and XBLA has the typical games as and the best exclusive XBLA titles I've played are not at all experimental, but Shadow Complex was the very best that I've played. Dead Light felt a lot like Shadow Complex, but personally I thought Dead Nation was more nostalgic as I haven't played a top down shooter since the SNES and I had a friend there with me. XBLA has not had a good year mark of the Ninja looks like Shank and Shadow Complex had a baby. If I wanted the best, I would've broken down, bought a Wii and purchased Muramasa: The Demon Blade (which) which I am getting on the Wii U. As I said, list these experimental exclusives that Microsofts been investing in. I'd really love to see them, because from what I've seen the only experimental games are multiplat at everyone platform has them, but Sony has been working to make these experimental games with That Game Company and they can actually take half the credit for  not only funding, but helping with Flower and Journey as well. Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is a good looking game and I definitely will try that, now that game is kind of different, not amazingly experimental but has its own feel, so I will definitely try it.

Ha what a typical response from you. They are getting stale and boring at this stage, come up with something new. How is Xbox music threating you? XBLA has nothing like Flower, Journey or The unfinished swan. This is a day one purchase from me. Developers like ThatGameCompany and Giant Sparrow deserve my money.

While I appreciate this is a PSN thread, using this game to bash XBLA is where I take issue.

Fez, Minecraft, Dust: An Elsian Tale and Spelunky come to mind. Not artsy but certainly creative and puzzle oriented.

None of those games were developed in house at a Microsoft Studio. Also, Dust is not experimental even though it was my favorite XBLA game this year. If I want to play those games I could get a 20 hr campaign on Muramasa on the Wii. Shank and Mark of the Ninja are all in the same category. Mincraft isnt even exclusive, even though it has sold the best on the 360. Fez will be on PC or the PS3, no doubt next year, Microsoft most likely did the timed exclusivity deal like they did  with Braid.

MS made or not.....they are on 360. PS3 doesnt have em. Thats all the should matter to us.

Minecraft isnt on PS3. Your Fez comment on PS3 is totally speculation. in 2012, 360 has Fez and PS3 doesnt.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
