Forums - Sony - Is it FINALLY time to get a Playstation Vita?

I like Uncharted series on the console for the subtle romance between Drake and Elena, keep in mind i have not played the third one because I was waiting for GOTY edition (which is out i guess); i am just trying to wait until this month is over before i start gaming again.

Quite busy this month with overnight call every 4th day in the ICU but after this month, I am going to be smooth sailing till June 2013 with all weekends off.

I can't believe I also caught up on 14 years worth of One Piece....in mere few months.

Did you read all the manga? If so, congratulations and hope you enjoy the next 15 years

Ok good, so looks like I got my answer. It will be AC+Vita bundle which comes with memory card, and then looks like PSN+ is worth the money to get discounts. Then probably grab sound shape off of the PSN store for cross buy. ANd then i will probably buy LBP new and then grab UNcharted and Gravity Rush used on amazon. I think that's the plan so far.

you mentioned you had an original psp and some puzzle games for it? if you liked Lumines and Lumines 2 on the psp you should look up getting Lumines Electronic Symphon on the vita when you buy your bundle, The screen is absolutely beautiful and it is by far the nicest version of Lumines you're going to see and the vita is pretty damn impressive sound quality wise too. Also since it was a launch game you should be able to pick it up for around the 20euros mark now, definately worth it.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

At the end of the day the decision is yours. Everyone has different game tastes and needs for their VITA.

As soon as I get some money, I think ill be getting one. Never thought I'd be getting a handheld again, but the Vita is a sexy machine with some great looking games. Will be my first handheld since the original gameboy (about 15 yrs ago).

Curious...what do u do? Sounds like ure a physician?

Don't forget Project Diva F which is the absolute killer-app of Vita (imo)

Are Vita games more your style? (As opposed to 3DS/DS games) - If so, go for it!

Ok, so I have about 470 some odd dollars of amazon gift card saved up on my account. Bought some books, a new watch, and still has this much left. I am thinking about getting the Vita for this Xmas, so I can play at night when I am on call and the hospital is quiet.

So if i get it around the end of this year (Black friday or so); i am expecting some sort of bundle or discount.

What games would you guys recommend, I am thinking:

1. LBP Vita (it's a game within a game, hopefully user generated content can help fill in time gaps of new release)

2. Gravity Rush (Heard good things and apperantely sold enough for them to THINK about making a second one)

3. Uncharted GA (still on the fence, may get a used copy)

4. Rayman Origin (looks like it can be fun, may get a used copy)

5. Soul Sacrifice (when it comes)

6. Persona

If you want a excellent portable then get the Vita. The quality of the build is next to none. The 3ds XL looks cheap and plastic compared to it.

There are a huge amount of games available for it right now. A gigantic selection of PSN and PSP games with the new edition of playstation mobile means you will never be stook for amazing games to play.

Assasins Creed liberation looks amazing too. I agree with guys on this, the Ps Vita is the cool thing to hate right now.

I wouldn't. Yes you might get the system on a sale during Black Friday, but it's still a first gen Sony system, and I've never had a good experience with first gen systems which aren't Nintendo.

That and games like Gravity Rush and Uncharted are still $40-$50 new, plus their really isn't much more then a handful of games.

Wait until the first redesign comes out, it will be thinner (like the PSP redesign was 1000 -> 2000), have a better battery, and by then there will be more games. You could also pick up Gravity Rush and Uncharted for less then.

That is funny because I have never had trouble with any of Sony's first gen systems and I have all the 1st gen systems. They are still working beautifully too.
