Probably not. The field right now is hardly big enough for 3, let alone 4 consoles, and while SEGA is more successful lately, it still does not have the money for a console. Plus, they do not have enough first party franchises to put on there, and they would hardly get any third party support.

I don't think they will. Sega has proven time and time again that the Dreamcast was their last console. Sega has been out of the console market so long that if they were to release another console it would take a long time before they even got it right.

As they say, never say never. In Sega's case they will NEVER.

They make more money just selling games. Companies generally only lose money selling the hardware and hope to make it all back with software sales.

I doubt seeing Sega return to the console business, maybe a handheld someday but even that is highly doubtful.

I totally believe there will be more competition in this generation (see my predictions in my profile) but not from Sega. Sega already has found a natural successor to the Dreamcast in the Wii (Sonic, NiGHTS, Samba De Amigo, Sega Fishing, etc.)

Hopefully, Sega Dreamstation (4) will be released next gen, pls :D

Can't see it happening in the next few years, even long term it is very doubtful. I'd say the age of Sega in the console market has been and gone.
