doubt it, I dont think there consoles were that popular...so why bleed more money into a market thats already pretty crowded?

No. It is too risky to justify; they don't have enough IP; third-party support isn't even being given to the most popular console (Wii) so Sega has no chance; Sega would have to match the power of PS3 or innovation of Wii and neither is possible; Sega is happy as a software company because it is free to release games on any platform.

I don't think even EA could.  On the surface they have a lot of products that could bolster a strong first party lineup but I doubt Activision would allow them to control GH on one console like that with the multiplatform success it has.  And Madden can't be exclusive since part of the NFL deal they made neccessitates that EA put out a football game on all systems.

Unfortunately, they've pretty much proven they don't have what it takes to compete in the console hardware business. So many bad decisions lost them a lot of money, so I doubt the company's leadership and shareholders are bullish on getting back into a business they got out of just a few years ago due to heavy losses.
