as i have been told, HD makes a games budget automatically go from about $100,000 to $20,000,000.  that takes a lot of extra developers to spend all that money.

 Retro Studios having more space now shows us that they are more important than ever have more money than ever and will have a bigger team than ever! (moving costs money, bigger offices cost money etc)

Not sure If i fully understood what you meant or if you are not sure who Retro Studio are.

Retro Studio is not a studio that develops or works on Retro games, they are sorta Nintendo's of Naughty Dog for here in the west. They are the ones who developped the Metroid Prime trilogy and Donkey Kong returns.


This was just a bad pun/wordplay and a silly explanation why retro needs more space ;)

and btw.  they sorta alter/re-imagine oldschool/retro nintendo games :) with awesome results!   and I feel somehow hurt that you compared Naughty Dog to Retro Studios ;)

@bold: I also believe Retro are way more talented than ND. I think ND are great, but are praised for the wrong reasons wich is excelling at making movie wanna be experience which is not for me... I made the comparaison only because after this gen ND are considered like the best first party studio to ever lived and I often saw the comparaison between the two. But i'm with you, I would take Metroid Prime4 or a new IP from Retro a hundred times before Uncharted4 or Last of Us.
