i only played 3 and 4 but the ending of the third is so good that all the flaws of the game seemed not important, you do get the radar in the fourth and you choose to either go fps kind a way or infiltration, getting the no kill, no item, no continue and no alert will probably give you some good enjoyment in the fourth

You're missing a lot...how could you understand the 4's story if you didn't play the first two? I only understood 2's story because I had the first game fresh, it would have been impossible otherwise

i red the story on wikipedia before playing the game, you can get a lot of information about most charactors in the game also there's a lot of flashbacks in the game, i also watch some videos on youtube
