Forums - Gaming - Is Capcom trying to Redeem themselfes?

I have read the on DLC for Resident Evil 6 will be free. And the new Dragons Dogma add-on will be free. I mean I know other companies are giving some DLC away for free, but no Developer has ever done it with an gameplay add-on. And it is Capcom we are here talking about.

What do you guys think about this?

I think Capcom has a long way to go to earn my faith in them again.

If this is true, then it's a step in the right direction.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Everything is fine with Capcom, Resident evil 6 is an amazing game. Stop whining kidos

But we are talking about Capcom here. A company that released an "unfinished" game, and then charged you afterwards for the "true" ending. I would definetly call that progress.

Well, when nobody bought SFxT because of the DLC, they made an announcement about how sorry they were and how they would make some changes to their DLC distributing process. They also begged us not to discriminate against Dragon's Dogma which would have on-disc DLC because that game was too far along. There was a thread hear on the VGChartz. Surprised they took it to this extreme, though. I'd have been happy with a low priced DLC.

Oh, and they're not the first ones to give away free maps. It's happened several times before. I even have a ton of Gears of War 2 maps that I've never even played. I just got them because they were free.

Capcom has being wondeful lately imo.
(especially after announcing the localization of MH - plus a new HD version)
Only thing left is a fighter for Wii U - maybe this new darkstalkers.

DLC on disc or outside the disk is the exact same, imo, too.

Yeah I know Bioware gives all MP DLC for free, but this is Capcom we are talking about. So I think this is a step into right direction. Especially because of Dragon´s Dogmas Gameplay add-on which will be free, and there are not many Publishers to do that.
