I'm not condoning his actions. I always preach that, if there's a way out, swallow your pride and take that way out before it resorts to violence. That's why I suck so much in Call of Duty. My police academy instructor, however, said that "If you ever have to hit somebody, man, woman, young, or old, you hit them as hard as you can." I believe in that, too.
It will come down to whether the bus driver had a way out (and I think he did but I wasn't there in his shoes), whether he felt threatened, and whether there's some sort of "stand your ground" law in place. The video shows that she hit him first. It's hard to back down from that, especially in front of an audience.
