I do know that most of those are known franchises... that is why I bought 4 of them. But being a game from know franchise does not make it a good game. Also I have read some reviews, but as we all know that a game with good reviews isn't always a good game. This happened to me with SMG and some think the same of COD/GTA.

The problem with what you're saying is that you place your own opinion over common knowledge. It's would have been much more acceptable to say something like...  " Just because a game gets good reviews doesn't mean it will be my type of game"..  Mario Galaxy isn't a good game.. and a fricken Great game and the reviews back that up. But for whatever reason not everyone enjoys the experience of playing it.  There's never been a game that everyone enjoyed and the Mario Galaxy series is no different.


I don't care about your common knowledge, all that matters is my own personal opinion. In case you did not notice, I mentioned other games to be sure that everyone would get the point. Imo, SMG is a dud. Deal with it.


And that's why people are taking issue with your attitude... Your think your opinion is grander than everyone else's...

I haven't been playing much lately. Last one I started was Kingdoms of amalur, but did not finish it. Usually I play strategy games, rpg:s and shooters.

if the guy thought SMG sucked, then it sucked. Jesus its just his opinion. I bought Xenoblade myself, day 1, good game. Didnt really grab me, but i just need to sit and play some more. I thought that Metroid game was ok, but im not really a fan of the series so that might have something to do with it. Cant speak on LKS, HM, not mine thing. Smash was a dud to me due to the horrible online, hope you got some people who can come over and play. TP is great cant speak on the Wii version.

A lot of license games like madagascar and carz and whatever

Peppa Pig! (might have been a ds game)

Mickey mouse

Guitar heros, rock bands and whatnot

 

A lot of duds, which someone else is free to enjoy. Not for me though.  Can't remember the names exactly, but something like that.

 

 

Epic Mickey is actually a really high-quality game--it has some camera issues, but if you like Zelda-style adventure games, I'd certainly say to give it a shot if you see it again for cheap.

It is kind of an acceptable reaction though. For people who are not used to Nintendo games it seems to happen a lot that they just stop playing before giving them a chance. Especially in this day and age of CoD non stop action , left for Dead, etc. It is understandable that he may not like them, but that was and is just a lot of peoples initial reaction I think. Did they really not like it or are they Nintendo Newbz and just do not know.


Dont buy that for a second, If a game doesnt grab you a game doesnt grab you. Who made the game is irrelevant, if anything for a Ninty game you shouldnt have to sit there a play for an hour or two before it grabs you, since they supposedly make mostly pick up and play arcadey games in the first place. Its the game makers responsibility to make you want to play the game, if they cant do that in the first few minutes, they have failed.
