Ugh, so annoying seeing them get their way -_-U

The last paragraph really sucks:

"This raises all sorts of questions concerning artistic freedom and religious tolerance --  especially in the wake of last month's attacks on the U.S. embassy in Libya, and the United Nations' recent proposals to outlaw "blasphemy" -- but I think it's safe to say that Activision is making the right choice here."

That blasphemy law is BS.

That can't be legal...

Why the distinction between Catholic and Christian?

Because there is a difference...

OT: Wow. A quote set them off?

A quote from their holy book being near a toilet, which they feel is a ritually unclean place.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

As most of you should know by now, Activision pulled a MW map due to "offensive content". And guess what group whined? Muslims. While this isn't hate toward them, as I don't and wouldn't judge an entire group because of a few individuals. However, they need to realize that more videos and more games will poke fun and tease their religion. Christians get made fun of every day. Catholics endure the same. Every religion is made fun of. But the thing that makes them different is how Christians, Catholics, etc tolerate it.

HAHAHA LULZ!!!

Anyways, this is just stupid. Religious people should learn how to take a punch/laugh like the rest of us. As soon as I see something on TV referring to Sweden in a satirical way I go out and kill something (preferably a polar bear) but I don't COMPLAIN about it!!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

OK, well that makes some sense. But I think they should've acknowledged that other parts of the world (where this game was made) might not view it like that. (Or maybe Activison should've done their research.)

Fun fact: There is more bacteria on your keyboard than anywhere on or in your toilet.

Key word there is ritual, of course. Similar to how Pigs are ritually unclean when pigs are really no dirtier than, say, goats.

It annoys me that they got their way over something as trivial as this.

The thing is Islam has stricter rules than most faiths in terms of what can insult. It's hard to really sting Christians, unless you make a joke about the crucifixion or resurrection or something. The Bible itself holds less symbolic weight with Christians (what it says is important, not what it physically is).

Not that i'm trying to justify it. I'm just saying it's a combination of the fact that the Muslim world is less developed and Islam is probably the strictest of the big 8 religions for mainstream believers, at least (monastic Buddhism can get pretty out there, as evidenced by the "monument to bugs i killed for my bug collection" that i ran across in Japan)

Eh... didn't something happen with one of the Resistance games involving a Christian Cathedral?
