Forums - Sony - No Unlockable Characters in All-Stars

Much more important than characters...

How this game pays respect to Sony's history? In other words, what is its trophies (real ones), unlockables, secret artworks, etc... There are more than 540 trophies in smash brawl alone, each telling a little bit of Nintendo history. There are more than 700 stickers... each containing tiny bits of history too. There are more than 20 classic games the player can play inside the game, each telling a lot of Nintendo history... and more, way more in every single part of the game.

I hope Superbot realizes this type of game is not just a fighter.

That's part of why I loved SSBB so much. It gave the game a feeling of greatness and prestige somehow.

It'd be cool if something like that was included in PSASBR.

For all the "theres gotta be unlockable characters" in the full roster revealed thread, this has gotta sting.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

That´s weak. That is really fucking weak. Every fighting game should take Mortal Kombat as an example. This game has more then any other fighting game in this world. It has tons of content, like the common arcade ladder+ tag ladder which is like a co-op arcade ladder. Then they have this really good story mode especially if you are a fan. plus 3 unlockable characters one exclusive character (for PS3) and 4 awesome downloadable characters. And the gameplay is spledndid. This is the reason why I am much more excited about Injustice then about Playstation Smash Bros.

Relax guys, PASBR will have 20 characters on disc and more 20 via DLC. Just saying.

We need moar Zelda, now!

We need moar Unchartedzz!

We need less DLCs.

The only thing that I can think of is that SuperBot wanted to focus more on getting the game right, than trying to add 40+ characters to the first All-Stars game and trying to figure out how to balance them all.

Gameplay needs to come before quantity of characters. This is the studio's first game and it would be terrible if it was a horrendous game. From what I've seen recently, they are fixing the art style so there isn't so much clash and I read somewhere that the camera/stages are/were being re-tooled.
