Forums - Microsoft - 'Happy Wars' coming free-to-play on XBLA on October 12

Digital Spy

Happy Wars has received a release date on Xbox Live Arcade.

The multiplayer action game will be available from October 12.

It will support up to 30 players simultaneously in online free-for-all and team-based battles, or players can complete missions in the offline single-player campaign.

Players will be able to choose from warrior, cleric and mage classes, which can be customised with an extensively array of equipment.

Happy Wars will be the first true free-to-play game on Xbox 360. Last year's Crimson Alliance was supposed to be another free-to-play title, but turned out to be more of a demo due to heavy restrictions to the core free version.

The game will be available next week as a free download for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

My gold ran out last week. OMG, 15v15

Yay!!!

It's pretty good. The different classes work well and the art style is very cutsie.

Hope it gets good reviews.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
