For once selnor I believe we share the same sentiments. I did not like 4 either. Not only that but RE5 didn't even stick with the decent elements in 4.

I didnt like Resi 4. 5 and 4 were no different other than coop. Both had really bad 3rd person controls. And they were NOT scary.

Like I said. When I first played Resi 4 I knew then Resi would only go furter down the slippery slope.

Which it has.

The last good resi games were the GC remakes and 0 of course.



Just because Resident Evil 4 shared a few traits with Re6 doesn't mean those specific traits were the cause of Re6's demise, if there is a demise. In any case, Re4 didn't start the decline. Re6 started the decline on it's own. (again, assuming there is a decline). If they made another Re4 qualify game, it would be great. But they didn't; so don't blame Re4 for Re6. It probably was a contributing factor, but wasn't a main cause.

So you think that RE4 had really bad controls back in 2006? Let me tell you that it was years ahed of its time in that department. In the early 2000's everyone were sick and tired by the dated controls of the series.  And if you think RE4 is worse than any other game in the franchise, you are wrong.

I really enjoy horror games, and I did enjoy RE0 back in its day, so I recently bought REmake for the Wii. I really wanted to like this game, but the terrible controls and strange camera angles made me turn off the game and I don't think I'll ever give it another chance.

Capcom's still pretty good. The Street Fighter guys are greedy fucks but (from an objective perspective, anyway. SF isn't my thing) Street Fighter is still pretty solid. Monster Hunter's been doing fricking spectacular and is a joy to play. Even Resident Evil Revelations was good

There's just something with mainline RE games that Capcom's been flopping with of late (and RE5 did well with sales, so who can say?)

Since Shinji Mikami left, apparently.I can´t wait to see the game (apparently, survival horror) he´s working on.
