FIFA 13, after setting a record in sales for the franchise in North America, has set another record in the UK. The game sold one million units in its opening weekend. This is a 27 percent increase in sales compared to FIFA 12. The Xbox 360 version accounted for 56 percent of sales, the PlayStation 3 version 42 percent, while the PC version makes up just two percent of the sales.

FIFA 13 is only the fourth game in the UK to sell one million or more units in its opening weekend at retail. The other three games are for the Call of Duty franchise - Call of Duty: Blacks Ops, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

FIFA 13 accounted for 72 percent of all games sold during the week, which is another record. The previous record was set by FIFA 12 which accounted for 62 percent of all games sold at retail when it released.

I expect Halo 4 to sell better on 360 and Black Ops 2 to smash that easilly alone on 360.

600k on the first weekend for halo 4 in uk? i don't think so, halo isn't so big in europe, maybe bigger in uk but not as big as in usa. that would be aweome but reach sold 720k first week in whole europe!

i think he meant bigger as fifa for 360 and cod for 360 will be bigger as fifa for all platforms.

The best thing Halo did was something like 440k (I think it was Halo 3).

There are only three games that sold more than 1 million first week in the UK
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

and FIFA 13 became the forth game in UK history to do that
