Japan Studio is incredibly inefficient and produces very inconsistent games sales-wise. Sony has several consistent and efficient western teams, that cater to a bigger market.
Which would you invest more in?
That guy from Santa Monica studios is already cleaning house in Japan. Most of team Ico's management is most likely gone because of him. Though it's gonna be another few years before anything in Japan gets fixed.
