EDIT - just gonna add btw, it's awful to make a massive rant post about how you aren't ranting and end it with the fact that the arguement is derailing the thread so the person you talking down to shouldn't reply. It's not unlike a mom ending an arguement with "you always need to get the last word" there is no reply back to it other than a middle finger :D that got me grounded btw..... does not work...

So anyways, I think some of the characters in there are quite obscure. I understand the need for quantity, but I would have preferred SuperBot focus on fewer characters, and went from there in quality. So what if there are 8 characters, Tekken 3 existed when Super Smash bros was released, and look at the Character difference then.

I am excited by the roster, but I guess that's because I have low expectations.  I was hoping for but not expecting Spike & Dan so it was pleasant to see them included.  Anything after that is just gravy.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Dante in there, great choice. Who are spike and Nariko?

Also, since they're going open to 3rd party, shouldn't they get Crash? Hopefully he'll come up :)

Everybody on youtube seems to want Crash.  I'd agree with them that he deserves his place in the roster, but it totally depends on Activision if he's included or not.  I hope they get him, but I won't lose any sleep if they don't.

Spike is the protaganist of Ape Escape, Nariko is the protaganist of Heavenly Sword.  Both games had their time at the forefront of Playstation marketing (and they're both from great games), so I'm glad to see them included.

Tekken 3 is laced with clones tho :s Anna/Nina, Panda/Kuma/GunJack, Eddy/Tiger and Mokujin who just clones people at random. The first smash bros didn't have clones other than Mario/Luigi

Seriously, guys - just think about it, what fighter does not have that, it's a major part of the fun, especially in nostalgic games like this one. And there's even "evidence" to support this.

i absoultely love that it is really only nintendo fans defending this roster but...  superbot at one point said all characters will be unlocked from the start.  that suck with me because i, like you, enjoy unlocking new characters.  it kind of irked me to hear them say that.

..i just hope that the at least some of the dlc characters are free.  i'm fine with a 20 character roster if every 2-3 months they add 1 or 2 for free to "freshen" up the game.  i'm not too keen on paying an extra $10-20 to get to 30 characters however.

either way i'm getting it.  i love SSB and i'm sure i'll love this overall espcially cause this will have the one thing i couldn't get from SSB ... online which is extreemly imporant to me as my best gaming friends are all 200+ miles from me.

I could also say its only Sony fans defending the possibillity of more characters but you know what this would be ? (childish fanboyism)

not sure why you are upset with me.  all i did was show my appreciation to vic and the other nintendo fans in this thread that are actually defending the PSASBR roster instead of using this thread as an opportunity to troll it.  PSASBR has been trolled to hell-and-back from the beginning as a SSB clone so it's kind of nice to see a few good words written from them.  i just thought i'd show a little appreciation to those nintendo fans.

what about those games tho? :D I didn't mention them, it's just you said that Tekken existed when Smash bros came out with it's 12 characters I was just saying that a lot of that roster was filled by carbon copies of characters to give the appearance of more.
