Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft really are pushing hard back against Google and Apple.

I've been to one and it's quite an amazing store.

Well selnor, you can only go so far by copying the competition, and if MSFT wants to succeed, then they will have to do something original, which hasn't happened in a while unfortunately for them.

I don't know if you're talking about having a store on it's own but if you're talking about everything else I feel sorry for you. W8 and WP8 are so different than the old buttons UI both Android and Apple offer that anyone saying they copy are kidding themselves. Also I really like the different colors for the UI and the phones, no need to offer everything in white like they want to hypnotise people... Apple employees talk like hipnotized people anyway... so no MS no need to copy!

Well, try to be more charitable here and assume that I'm not making the stupider argument here, aka that msft copies just about everything.  Indeed from what I've heard, wp8 and W8 are the few things that msft has done well with lately, but good thing that they are a central product so if they need to get anything right it's these two.

And if they do well, I'll be more than willing to upgrade my opinion of msft to doing fair, with decent expectations of future growth instead of the mediocre type of rating I give them now

Why do you give them bad ratings? They did well with Xbox, they did well with W7, they are really creative with W8 and WP8 heck they allow more customization than anything Apple, Google is perfect at customization as well. Anyway, we have different views that's for sure, to me MS is the only one that doesn't screw up right now.

They aren't a bad companyat all, but rather have been underperforming lately, and analyst expectations of future growth are pretty low.  Stil, w8 may make the expectations go up some if sales exceed expectations.  So as always, I suppose that we will have to see.  Fair enough?

So you're judging them, not by good their products and services are compared to competitors, but how well they perform financially?  Or is this a sales volume thing?  Or how much their stock goes up?

I thought mobile phone with windows 8 were already out lol

Unless your an investor in the company i don't see why you would care how they are doing financially. Even though they are making tens' of billions of dollars a year. And don't forget the new Surface tablet coming soon.

Are we talking just teh phones cause last time i checked their phone had about 1% market share
