@Sales2099

@Jay520

@Leo-J

First off Sales2099 is the only one looking at this from a business persepective.  Leo is taking this from a bias perspective, and  Jay you just, idk.   Everything Sales2099 has said that I've read is correct.  Yes Madden is huge btw why do you guys think they sale it every year.  Can you imagine how much profits they are getting out of a game that barely has to update each year?

Halo/Gears/Forza is way bigger than Sony's first party.  I don't even know why this is being argued.  If you're going to argue let's look at the numbers. These are how much each franchise has sold this gen

Halo-28.99m and with Halo 4 that's going to increase

Gears of War-18.04m

Forza-11.45m

Total-58.48

Uncharted-14.57m

Gran Turismo-7.87m

God of War-7.53m

Total-29.97

Halo alone almost matches the totals for all three of Sony's exclusives.  With halo 4 it will pass all three.

And Leo, so you said PSN is the best online service?  XBL has much more  respect for multiple reasons but I know what you're going to say.  FREE, am I correct.  Sorry but Steam is 10x better than PSN and it's also free.

If you all really think it's ok for a company to go from making an insane amount of profits with the PS2 to losing billions with the ps3 you have a problem.  Graphics is not even noticeable between X360 and PS3, play pc if you wanna a difference.  600 dollars was a huge mistake just like the Vita is making a huge mistake with making memory cards over priced and an expensive portable console.  Get rid of your bias opinions, Sales2099 is the only one correct here so I don't understand the argument here.  Please explain.

Thats great bro. Microsoft might have three titles that are strong, but those sales are supplemented by the fact that Sony has way more games for potential sales.

Which mostly fall below the radar.....

Very true, you're both right in some respect, but the fact remains that a good enough percentage of Sonys first party becomes known throughout aspects of its  respective generation and carries over. Microsoft forced Sony into a position that caused Sonys first party to become greater than ever before. At least you could admit that. The sale of all of the games supplement the cause.

We dont need Kinect Adventures to make our point. And some people dont consider a priced demo as legitimate. If MS sold us a Forza 3 demo for 80 ($1) MS points, maybe we should count those sales too no? Please. Still a debate to this day.

@ S.T.A.G.E.  Do I really need to bring out a list of each console exclusive between the two.....bro.  Sony had nothing in it's first couple years and Microsoft hasnt in its last few years. Most likely they will come out pretty even, but as I said before X360 software sells way more.  You can argue all you want but at the end of the day what I said is true.

last few years? If you talk about Microsofts gaming drought it would from start to finish it will be six years by the end of its life cycle which will be 2015. The first three years were great, fourth was adequete. The rest was Kinect (2010 launch), Halo, Gears. Sony has been on fire since 2009 and still have a stacked list of games clear set to come between now and 2014. Clearlyin 2008 Metal Gear Solid 4 was the banner leader that created the buzz about the exclusives that lead to Sony first party eventually showing its face. Marcus Beer on Invisible Walls has said the PS3 can last until 2014-2015 based purely on internal development at Sony, but Microsoft needs the new Xbox now. I completely agree and they masterfully placed the Halo/Gears development cycle to hide this fact. Sony has already beaten out Microsoft in new IP's created, the next few years will just be nails in the coffin in that respect. Gamespot has already wrote an article about it as well showing the scale of game creation featuring new IP's.

So what you're telling me is that sony has some great exclusives coming that are just going to sell amazing huh?  Please tell me about all these games that are coming out for sony?  Uhm, Sony All Stars, Little Big Karting, God of War, and Last of Us?  Sony all Stars and little big planet look mediocre at best which is a big let down to me.  I played the beta of Little Big Karting by the way.  God of War, but from the sounds of it you dont like sequels.  Last of Us looks great and I cant wait to play it, but what else is there?  You act as if they have a ton of games coming but them are the only 4 I can think of that will have a chance of selling over 1 million.  So Halo 4, Forza Horizons, and Gears of War: Judgement are games that have already been done before, doesn't mean gamers dont want these franchises.  Why do you think people buy them?  Those 3 games I just mentioned will outsell sony's exclusives 3:1 and that you can count on.

Oh yeah the glorified Gran Turismo 5 Demo haha jk I did forget about that game.  And I was just talking about core games.  If we considered Kinect games it would be a complete landslide in sells because we all know how successful the Playstation Move has been

Agreed. People dont notice it but I do: Sony is adopting the 1st string, second string, 3rd string exclusive approach like MS. Basically is that top 3 list above.

Before Sony was content to have their games sell all evenly and what not. Because PS2 was such a success, it mattered not how much they sell in the first place. Now......Sony needs "big guns", something MS allready adopted from the start. Were gonna see a lot of Sony downsizing of their "below the radar studios" in the coming years, mark my words. Hell, it is allready happening.

but you consider a game with miniscule yearly updates to be "legitimate" ? kinda kills your argument about Madden

and Gran Turismo Prologue was priced at $40, so that's way different then a hypothetical $1 demo

Not really. The games are considered "full" games for the respective years. There is no "Madden Prologue 13". The word "prologue" in its very definition kinda kills the counting GT5 demo argument. It isnt my fault that GT fans were so starved for anything they can get that they needed to spend $40 on a demo......and people say MS are crooks. Point was demos, priced or not, shouldnt count.

But this is neither here or there. The origional comparison was Uncharted vs GT.

Lets make a list shall we?

Little Big Planet Karting

Playstation Allstars Battle Royale

Last of Us

Final Fantasy XIII Versus

The Last Guardian

Dust 514

Ni No Kuni (Extremely excited for that. So underrated!)

Beyond: Two Souls

God of War: Ascension

Sly Cooper: Thieves in time.

This is not even including the PSN games Sony is investing in.

Yes, these games might not do Halo numbers but will a lot of games will gain attetion with the drought of games towards the end of the gen. I feel bad for Ni No Kuni because as a person who grew up with Spirted away and Princess Mononoke those were epic, even classic movies that went under the radar and the same studio is making a game now with Level 5. I can't wait. There are so many experiences it has to be respected even if you dont like them. In all I am sure they will see a respectable amount for Sony. If Versus can come out before the 2014 its sales will speak for itself. The last Guardian and and God of War will sell at least three million copies for sure. Beyond will probably get around 1.5-2 million. Quantic Dream is building a decent fanbase on the PS3 and Hopefully it grows even more. Again.. in my eyes Microsoft can have two great multiplayer games, but to me Sony have 10-15 great experiences. Eventually those games create identity for the console. Anyway im out for a little bit.

Gran Turismo Prologue was a regular game release in a box like all other games and priced similarly. That they release another game with the same and more content at a later date is not unheard of or would you omit Oblivion regular edition sales because there is Oblivion game of the year edition ? Your point doesn't make sense to me - sales should be sales or are they not sales if they don't fit your bill mister sales?

Well, I'm already tired of talking to you guys, so don't bother to reply.
