That said, the X-com Demo sold me.  I'll likely preorder it.  Espiecally if it gets to the "third tier" preorder bonus.   I got a friend who I could gift Civ 5 to.

Is it out on PSN yet?

This game is a Must Have. I am hoping it sells at least 1 million. Hopefully 2, but that's probably impossible.

I'm still a little bummed about the squad sizes, but oh well. Everything else looks so good. Just over a week left to go!

It's number 2 on the steam best sellers list behind Borderlands 2 if that's indication.

Should hit the "free Civ 5 bonus" easy.

Infact it must have.  CIv 5 is in my inventory right now.

Yeah, I was skeptical, but oddly enough the demo won me over even with it's problems.  Looks like they didn't screw with anything too egregiously.

I heard it was very short and controlled, but did the demo get into how they're handling leveling up and what the skill trees look like? From the preview in Playstation Magazine, it sounds like your guys automatically become a sniper or assault trooper or whatever when they rank up enough, which just sounds weird if it means you could potentially end up with nothing but snipers.

Only four more days, Earthlings!

To me it looks like you know what class they are when you recruit them.

My "heavy Weapons" guy at level 1 automatically got a rocket launcher ability.

Then each level after had two different choices to pick between for the level up point.

Ah, okay. Thanks.

I'm guessing you permanently lose access to the perk you don't choose? Or could you pick the other level 2 ability once you hit level 3?

Who knows though, I could be wrong and the demo could be giving the wrong impression.  They refer to him directy as our heavyweapons guy.

Could be the demo just being dumb though as looking at it does seem to suggest they level up randomly at something i just read.

As for the level bonuses Couldn't say, for sure you only get 1 level in the demo.

Looks like it's exclusive though.

has the perks too.

Yep, according to that Wiki, they do. I'm sure it will take into account the classes of your other soldiers so that you can have a well-rounded squad, but I'd much rather be able decide which soldier becomes what.
